When did Giant Bomb start doing App of the Day videos? Wait, XBLA? $10? What kind of insane world have I ended up in?

This looks to me like a Cut the Rope lookalike game that got rejected from the Apple App Store.

But this publisher is responsible for bringing us Trackmania and Sherlock Holmes games. So for that I watched the whole QL. :)

10 bucks is a lot for that, but that multi player was pretty fun looking.

This is just a slight variation on ClockWerx from 1995 or so. Everything old is new again...

I bet this game could be really fun (besides the multiplayer) if you got really good at it. There's a nice flow to it if you do it right. Unfortunately it doesn't seem very intuitive.

The unanimously popular multiplayer segment starts at 13:50, for those who might want to skip the interminably dull single player portion of the vid.

I kind of wish Ryan gave more of a shit while making this video, but I would probably be the same way myself. I'm sure it looks more fun to play than it actually is.

Yeah, it definitely reminds me of CarneyVale, but I don't feel comfortable saying it rips it off because I have no idea whether CarneyVale was the first rotational one-switch ever.

Either way, this game looked aaite, and the multiplayer looked awesome! Justin McElroy was gushing about it back during E3. Seems fun enough!

The demo was pretty fun. But it does seem like a flash or iphone game. If it was $5 I might have had more interest in it. $10 is a lot to ask for a game with one real mechanic to it, especially when there are superior games released for $10 almost every week. I'd accept that price if the game had any real level of charm to it like Raskulls or Rocket Riot, but sadly it does not.

People do pay for tower defense games though, despite 47 billion free tower defense flash games were made in the 10 years before someone realized you could charge for them.

So you are obviously saying that all the free tower defense flash games on the internet are of the same quality as any available on XBLA or PSN, like PixelJunk Monsters, Comet Crash, etc?

Not quite, but many of them probably aren't worse than most of the paid ones.

The multiplayer seems fun. Not worth $10 in the least, though.

I think these guys need to go back and review centripetal force and its associated velocity.

I have to agree with the majority here - this game looks and feels like a game that could have done better on the iOS platforms rather than the 360.

This seems like it would work on an ipad...

If this were on the iPhone, Wired would write an article saying it's a masterpiece that brought all nations together.

Im bored of the game 3 minutes in... Why regenerate gems? Seems a bit cheap...
