It seems to have a pretty good sense of humor about it all though ("cloud sword").  I'm impressed by it but it also looks a little hard for my lackluster game skills.

Not for me. I love beat em up's, but this looks way too much of a one trick pony. Just my opinion thought.

The meat of games like this are in the action. In the same way Bayonetta, dmc, and ninja gaiden are. I honestly do not give a shit about the story or the "emo" feel? (Seriously? You sound like idiots saying kids will cut themselves playing this.) Fast pace, twitchy action, and making you feel like a total bad ass are the reasons I love these kind of games and the reason I loved bayonetta. Which after beating that game twice I couldn't tell you the first thing about what the fuck was going on with the story, but I can tell you it had the best mechanics I've ever experienced in an action game. 
 
That reason is what sells me on these games, if you are looking at the story as a reason to not buy you aren't doing the game justice. With the first game it went from "This is an alright action game," too, "holy fuck this is great." All of a sudden you are teleporting all over the god damn screen, juggling some zombie, hot swapping to a shotgun to do a john woo style dive while simultaneously dodging grenades, and finishing it off by ripping some guys head off all under a period of a about 8 seconds. I'll tolerate all the "emo" style you can throw at me if you can deliver that.

I'm more into beat em ups like Streets of Rage where you have a bunch of basic moves and a lil bit of pseudo z-axis movement going on.  This looks cool though.  I think I'll check out the demo.

This game looks fuckin' crazy.

The combo system is actually a little short sold in this demo. There are quite some things u can do, especially later when u get more weapons. At least it was like this in the first one and I don't see a reason to dumb it up.

This looks kinda fun in a bored out of my mind need mindless violence kinda way. Wish it wasn't just xbox live :(

This seems like what Sucker Punch should have been.  Crazy women killing people under the delusion that they're actually saving the world.

Game looks fun to me. Less difficult than the first one, too. I'll probably end up getting it.

Did a quick search through the posts and it looks like no one has mentioned this, but iffenhaus is probably a play on words for affenhaus which means "ape house". I don't speak german, but I'd guess it would be something along the lines of "man house" or ape as in mad for "mad house".

Honestly, one of my top 5 games of 2011. It's just fun as hell, with slick art and a dedication to its crazy atmosphere. Can get pretty challenging, too.

One of my favorite games. There's nothing quite as relaxing as cutting so many people and robots up. So much blood and violence, it's actually fun. My friend and I played it through after tough days at work. It was good therapy.
