The combo videos coming out of this have been downright silly.

Yeah, having messed with this last night, the changes aren't that big for some characters, but huge for others.

And, dammit Capcom, they should've really changed the command list for Omega Edition characters.

This looks really silly. Kudos to Capcom for releasing it free though.

Really not into the kick fireballs. Also would have been nice if they actually looked into the new moves for the char instead of just spamming attacks to try and find them.

The difference with E. Honda's hands is that he moves forward now, he just does it before the hands, not during.

Kind of wish they had gotten a hold of the move list for this. It's out there as a pdf if you google it. Most characters have EX moves that are almost alternate supers, lots of really cool stuff like Honda's EX throw.

Rose's U1? Pfft, what a scrub.

Also, maybe play more than one match in a game with a 40-player roster before you decide how far they've gone with Omega mode?

There's crazier mods if you just look at community-created ones.
I've been working on one called SF4Remix for like 2 or 3 years as a hobby project with a lot more changes, and way different gameplay from what you'd expect from just ordinary SF4.

Oh and if you want to deny people their fun in this mode, play gen, chain into LP->LK xN. It'll probably get patched soon enough but the 360 version will have to get a patch through the MS cert process so go get em!

This is genius as they have basically made an alternate reality Street Fighter IV. It's nuts, and it's free.

Now if they could only fix the Steam netcode.

Yeah, it seemed pretty uneven, with some characters getting a lot more love than others. I wish they went even further into the "weird, game-breaking" Rainbow Edition-type stuff.

@charaznable: It may not be that overtly crazy, but holy shit man, you can do like 2/3 a lifebar in one combo

So despite playing a LOT of Street Fighter 4 Ultra I haven't touched this mode. Is Guile good? Is Dee Jay playable?

@homelessbird: @charaznable: I kind of suspect that a large part of the craziness is hidden in frame data, damage and priorities. Ex: Ken's air Tatsu is slow as hell, Sakura's Shou-o-Ken is weird, and so on.

Get Hype for Street Fighter 5 yo

Ok, maybe someone here can help me out: I only own last gen consoles (PS3/360) and I am looking to play SFIV (I don't own any versions). Which is the version to get? Don't care at all about multiplayer, just going to play local mp/single player.

I was expecting Mugen level hijinks, but this is like a rehash of a rehash, so never mind.

360 is slightly better, that's what's preferred by the pros and tournament organizers. But it comes down to very small lag in certain situations for them.

Also, definitely get Ultra if that was even the question. It has more characters and stages and is overall the best version.

jeff can no longer over power people in videogames ever since dan and jayson joined the crew, it must be really tough for jeff I can hear and feel the frustration.

Actually there's a lot of hijinks, these guys just didn't know enough to bring them all out. And Ultra Street Fighter IV is not a rehash but hey it's cool to hate Capcom's fairly priced DLC I guess.

Not exactly sure how this is a Quick Look. I didn't get a ton of information out of it. If you guys wanted to play (Ultra) Street Fighter IV you should've just said so. :)

They didn't really touch on the crazier stuff. Like that move Jason thought was a parry...is actually a parry.

People shouldn't expect MUGEN or Rainbow Edition stuff out of this. Think of it as a way for the community to test possible future changes and updates to characters instead.

Oh yeah sorry for confusion, by version I meant 'Edition' since theres so many of them. Guess I'll get Ultra then

It's so nice to see Jeff have actual competition in fighting game Quick Looks now...

as a casual fighting game spectator, SFIV still looks pretty good. Love that art style.

I would love to see a feature where Jeff and Jason are just playing different fighting games against each other for two hours. The others can join too.

Jeff + Jason is my new favorite QL combo.

Being able to see the Zangief player's button inputs as he's hit with the combo makes the video hilarious.

id love it if they took a look at a command list online and did this again on UPF or something. some characters got weird shit, like cody and blanka.
