This game is weird.

This game seems ridiculously awesome and strangely intriguing.

This series is really weird, but it does allow you get away with a bunch of crap. In the second game, you could pretty much kill anyone you want (if you got the skills). It basically led up to this festival where you can kill EVERYONE. Gang bosses, thugs, soldiers, random passer-bys, important story characters- whatever.
 
That said, this looks better than Way of the Samurai 2. It could be pretty good.

That game is a little nuts.  I'd be interested in playing it, but I don't have the time.

This should be a $20 game for the PS2. Then I would probably get it.

Looks like it's got good ideas but poor execution. Fun rental material.

giant enemy crab

One of my most tragic childhood memories came from the first Way of the Samurai. I had completed up to the very end of the game, but I died on the last battle and lost my entire save. It was completely devastating for me as a 12 year old kid, and I never came near the game again.
 
If this franchise is still anything like the first game, count me out. What a terrible idea, to punish people so severely for dying. If you're going to kill people's saves in a video game meant to be entertaining, at least design the controls so that you lose the game legitimately and not to a crappy button layout.

ENDURANCE RUN!!!

Man this quick look doesn't do the game ANY justice. Yes, the barrier of entry is a little high but once you get past it, it becomes really fun. Stealing peoples' swords, upgrading weapons and multiple endings make this game really awesome.

Were the prior two Samurai games this goofy with their translation?  Or were they even translated?

Holy shit, I loved Way of the Samurai, they still make these?

Man if this game had a bigger budget and some quality animation it would be awesome.

I thought this was a Wii game maybe that says alot.

Looked alright. Open world-ish game but with Samurai's, which can only be cool surely. Could be a good one to get on the cheap.

Everyone who likes this game is the lowest form of life I can think of right now. I though GB has a pretty decent community until I read these comments.
