I would totally buy this only for the fact my account got hacked last year and I haven't been on to get my stuff back and im scared when I do try to get it back it'll be gone forever... looks really cool though

Monthly payments since the game launched... ouch.  
 
That's the main reason I've never gotten into WoW, and likely won't get into any decent MMORPG except perhaps Guild Wars 1&2... too pricey to play over a long time, and not worth it to play for a short time then unsubscribe.   
 
There's also the fact that I like variety in my gaming life-- I'd much rather pay money each month for a brand new game with a brand new setting, than pay money each month just to keep playing the same game I'd already been playing anyway!

Well you can't get bitten unless you're on the quest to do so, which was about a minute and a half away by the time this Quick Look ended. Ah well.
 
Fun Quick Look. I feel awful for having played for six years and somehow having forgotten about the /ding emote. Or maybe that's a good thing.

Ah okay. I just remember someone (named Kathy?) made several brief cameos on the bombcast and some llivestream gameplay events and she did some of the artwork for GB. Guess it isn't her.

I think you're combining a few female Giant Bomb people. The girl is Carrie Gouskous who used to be an editor at Gamespot, and the artist girl you're talking about did all the quest illustrations!

I feel like I'm the only one who never played a minute of WoW. I just don't understand its appeal. The design, the structure, the time-sink, it just doesn't seem fun to me. Still, happy for those who love this stuff.

Meh.  That really is just the same old stuff.  I've completed enough quests and hit the level cap too many times already.  Also, the art may be timeless, but the little scripted events look awful.

Gotta say as a WoW and GB fan, Im really dissapointed in this QL. These guys could barely put a single coherent sentence together about this game, and they couldn't sound any less excited about having to play it. I really wish there was someone on the WM team that could talk about this (hugely popular and important) game with some level of knowledgeand enthusiasm.

Numbers getting bigger the longer you play just doesn't do it for me.    I put a good 15 hours into WOW a few months back to finally give it a shot and from my perspective what is shown in this video (after 411 days of playing) and what I did is nearly identical.  As @HarrySound said:

" Go here, kill this, go here kill these, go here talk to him.... Ok WoW is good, but I can't ever go back :( "

In concept I really want to like the game, after finally trying it, it isn't for me.

I didn't get that feeling at all. Bethany and Rorie seemed pretty knowledgeable, and Brad seemed interested in the game. 
Hell, I don't even play WoW and I was mildly interested in trying it out.

Same here. I couldn't even get though half of the QL. People who love this stuff really love it, but I have no idea or want to figure out what the hell they were talking about in this thing.
