After hearing what jeff said on the bombcast I don't think I wanna watch this. I love these games.

Whoa looks much better than demo.

Anyone else have it here? I kinda still want it despite the reports of missing side missions and hostess bars.

Seems like the full game has better graphics than the demo, is this actually true?

Why is the audio of almost all of Giantbomb's material (podcasts and videos) always so soft, or at least much softer than compared to the general media?

So all the people in this game either walk with a purpose, run like idiots, or both.

It wouldn't surprise me if right before a fight the Yakuza3 game went all power rangers & someone turns into Godzilla or Jet Jaguar. Although it would be amusing if they mixed some from Persona4, like the beef bowl challenge or wasting all day at a capsule machine.

I'm one of those who really like the slow pacing. I like to relax while playing (after a hard days work) with just short bursts of action and not a lot of games let me do that. Plus the story is really well told and I'm a sucker for story and character interaction. 
 
I don't care much for japanese culture though. It's neat in ways but I could take it and leave it. It isn't necessary for my appreciation of this game.

With this said the story could pick up the pace a little bit quicker (I'm about 15h in and it took about 10h before things really started happening), but I suppose I'd get the level that I prefer by not doing all the optional side missions (which I can't not do, thank god they cut parts out). It's the running errands that gets a bit tedious, I truly like the main story orphanage stuff. Those kids are pretty awesome.

 I'm glad this game exists. Like Jeff said, they don't make games like this anymore. I love the atmosphere and tone. Very slow paced, and I respected it for that. I really want to like this game, but shit man, it seems mind-numbingly boring. The fighting system looks janky as hell. The very little amount of voicing acting is disappointing. 
 
But still... i kind of want to play it.

It does have a slow pace, but this game interests me for some reason.  I would loved it if this game was on 360 as well.

Mentioned in the QL but I still find it weird the portrayal of the Yakuza as kind, loving role models for children. Like could you imagine a Mafioso version? - and for the DSi: Blood Red and Crip Blue :D

Aniki is more of "big brother" than "boss", although it's meant more as a term of showing respect to a person "above" you in status or experience.  I guess using boss is the closest English equivalent, since him calling him big brother or bro all the time would be silly.
 
Yakuza makes me miss Shenmue, and it's a pale shadow of what Shenmue could have been on modern hardware.

Where is Jackie Chan kicking butt, also game looks good.

Unfortunately this is the slowest part of the game...

It's slow, but then you ruin some shit.
 
Also I have it on good authority that later in the game Kazuma fistfights a bear.
 
I'd say that about tops the Yakuza in which Kazuma punches a Tiger.

Getting a real Shenmue feel here.

Yeah it seems a lot like Shenmue, I didn't even really notice until this quick look. I'm slightly interested in this now.

If i had a PS3 i'd buy this on the spot - fantastic atmosphere...

I've watched streams of this on JTV and this beginning part really drags on, but once the action parts come, they are extremely badass
