Hey look, indie games without Patrick. You all said it was impossible, but here they all are.

That certainly looks like a traditional Swedish house and forest.

Scandinavian folklore is pretty fucked up when you read up on it. I'm pretty sure you were supposed to never ever follow one of the forest creatures though, as I recall it every single one of all the creatures were all about making you stray off the path in the forest, making you get lost and then kill you.

But... I do that all the time!

When Vinny asked about putting two fingers on the marker and Brad dismissed it in his bored voice, saying it doesn't work... that's one of those moments when you just know what's going to happen.

I was totally thinking the same thing when Vinny started singing the Willy Wonka song

UAAAAHHHh! Fucking hell that in-your-face jump scare was a cheap-shot, totally took me by surprise!

i dont get it. nothing about this looked appealing except the sound design maybe. at the same time i dont know why brad was so baffled by the music riddle. looked dull and obvious to me.

I played through this game over the course of two nights and Brad is really only scratching the surface of what makes this game amazing. I wrote up some of my thoughts here.

The ways they use the physical device you're playing on to convey puzzle solutions is incredible and without spoiling anything, I'll just say that the companion app is more than just a reference guide.

I thought I remembered them saying it in every iOS QL so far....

"I'd like to solve the puzzle, Brad..."

I guess, as a Swede I was surprised it took so long, while I doubt there's much actual belief in these creatures these days, they are prevalent through in a lot of the stories we're told as kids even today, so pretty much everyone has heard of at least the more common ones like skogsrået/huldran, tomten and näcken, and to some extent the draug, though I think they are more common in Norwegian tales.

Quite boring to watch -- but I can see it as a good game to experiment alone. I like the mood and the weird lore.
