Never met Rip Torn, but I did meet Rip Taylor backstage in Vegas and he was exactly the same as he is when he's performing. I'll never forget it.

Not a big deal, but just so the crew know: For the first 6 hours or so after a livestream is uploaded, I can't get the last 4-5 minutes to play. It starts working eventually, so I don't really miss much. But it is a bit of a pain if I'm watching something live and have to cut out early, cause then I normally can't catch up on what I missed till the next day.

11:51 when Abby runs right past the room that you can make a stand in with a wall behind you.

Oh man when I was a kid and my mother sat down with me and we watched the entire original Star Wars trilogy during a summer holiday; the Darth Vader reveal blew my mind and solidified my love for the entire series forever. It was before the episode one was out and Star Wars was one of my mothers favorite movie series growing up. Us watching the three movies back to back to back and the smile on her face when I turned to her with my surprised expression when the reveal happens is probably one of the best memories of my childhood.

Realized last night I hadn't watched the episode before this. And now I sit down today and see a new one? It's a Christmas-in-July miracle!

Someone should tell Abby to use the melee. I don't understand why they won't. Everything is easier if you just kick and suplex everyone.

I'm not sure not telling Abby about the flash grenades is bad. Nobody figures that out on their first playthrough.

Purposely showing the prequels to your children is abuse.

Vinny, for Star Wars viewing order you could also try the Machete Order: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6. This way you get to show the original movie first, keep the father reveal, flash back to his father's story/fall, and end with Return of the Jedi. This also gives the Luke and Leia as twins reveal more spotlight, as you would get that at the end of Revenge of the Sith. (note: it must be remembered that Revenge of the Sith is PG-13 for a reason, the movie really lingers on the whole burning a man alive on the side of a lava river thing.)

The talk of RE7 made me realize how great a full (or extended) playthrough (/date) would be! Non-VR for Abby's mental health.

My parents showed me a movie as a little kid. All I remember was the bad guy dying by being stuck on a missile and a part about someone wetting themselves in fear. Not only did I learn it was True Lies, but also that movie is older than me!

Man I love @alex but he must really hate DiCaprio. The Departed is 5/5 all time great. Shutter Island is really good. Gangs of New York can be corny but still very good.

I cannot imagine showing or recommending the Star Wars prequels to anyone. They're such boring, stale, flat nothings of movies with a light sprinkling of pretty good things once in a blue moon(and that's me being nice.) If you're devoted fan of Star Wars, I guess you can get those surprisingly well-done fan edits to have a connection to the other movies.

The original films were also silly, corny, John Ford/Kurosawa/Flash Gordon-inspired things but that worked and was novel and fun. Seeing the very well done fan 4K remasters is pretty incredible. If your kids like those, then I'd try to show them the new ones like Force Awakens and Rogue One. All of the new ones have their own weaknesses, but I'm sure kids wouldn't care and just have a good time.

I mean, "getting into Star Wars" to me depends so much on the video game side of things as most of the movies to me (in the grand scheme of movies) are kind of whatever and they're only going to be churning out more and more for awhile it seems. There have been so many cool games over the years and when games like Knights of the Old Republic, Empire at War, Republic Commando, Battlefront II, Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy, and Rogue Squadron were coming out...Star Wars was pretty cool. Since then it's been stuff more like the new Battlefront and LEGO Star Wars...definitely not as much to sink your teeth into. Maybe Fallen Order will change that.

Honestly, I don't see the difference between Dan telling her not to buy the rocket launcher (a waste of 30000 that would have been the most "Dan" thing to do) and just saying what the flash grenades do... Abby pretty much figured it out anyways.

Oh well nobody reads these comments anyway, and she's doing well enough that it will probably be fine regardless.

The "I am your father" reveal in Empire Strikes Back is one of my all-time fondest movie memories ever. I was a kid myself when I saw those movies and it's one of those moments that can never be recreated. It's like the first time the dogs jumped through the window in RE1 and scared the shit out of me. Or when Scar kills Mufasa in The Lion King. I think The Lion King was one of the first movies I ever saw in the cinema and I was crying like crazy when Mufasa died.

Abby is great but I respectfully disagree with her on the kids not giving a shit about the Darth Vader reveal.

If I ever happens to have kids myself someday I would definitely show them the original 4-6 trilogy first.

This series is great but as much as I sincerely love Dan, there are some games that I would never play with him in the room, this one being at the top of the list.

Getting offended at the line Leon used to the woman who stuck a gun in his back was very cringeworthy.

Rocket launcher is so good in this game, makes every boss fight trivial.

It just came across as though she didn't catch on that "taking a woman's lead" was a reference to dancing.

@castiel: @zombiefdr: I'm honestly in a position where I straight up do not remember the Vader reveal being a reveal and my reaction to it. I was born in 1990 and I'm pretty sure I saw all of them at least once before the special editions came out and it theaters.

So I'm with Abby on, obviously depending on the age and the kid, big "reveals" like that could mean nothing.
