@ebok: I mean it really doesn't when used as designed. For like the third time they picked a game that you have to pick stuff up on and completely ignore the fact that the PSVR is based off the camera and the lights. If you put the controller BEHIND a desk, how is it supposed to work? It's a constant thing and kind of not fair to the people who makes these games. It's like complaining that you can't play it when facing a wall away from the camera. I'm glad Vinny thinks it's funny but it isn't real fun to watch for me.

The Exorcist TV show is the second-best sequel thing in that series past III and I love that they made a dumb game of it

Is this entire series going to be VR? That's a let-down is so.

@bladededge: eh, kinda hear you but clearly VR games get a much more visceral reaction out of Abby, so I think they serve the purpose of the feature better. Plus, we get horror broken up with humor when they try to fix the VR!

I only wanna see PSVR games that are busted as hell, no matter whos at fault.

Couldn't you just clear out the studio where the TV is, put the PS Camera on the wall with tape or something near the door and put a lav mic on her instead? Would that solve the issue?

The PSVR is certainly not perfect (I've tested a PSVR game), but playing a game with motion controls while sitting behind a desk with a large mic in front of you is not doing it any favors.

Fumbling with motion controls can definitely be funny, but when their set up makes it nearly impossible to do anything in the game it does get a little frustrating to watch after a while.

I have nothing but love for Abby and Vinny and this series, and I know the studio is very small, but I really wish/hope they can find a better set up. They got half way there using the lavalier mic last time and changing the background color also helped.

[Edit] Ok, it got better after they switched to the Move controllers.

And as for VR or not, I enjoy the series either way.

Probably my favorite episode. I've always been a bit bummed that they way overused the villains. They went from creepy to daleks in no time fast.

I like the VR, but I could go either way.

Getting into the VR theme. Should I get a PSVR? Whichever one of you thinks you know my tastes best, please answer. I don’t have a Pro.

Abby shouting "Dr. Who cares, you know this," makes me just really enjoy the Vinny and Abby dynamic. Also loving the general level of horror game anxiety where Abby is constantly accusing Vinny of having snuck into the recording room to make noises to freak out Abby.

there are plenty of great horror games that don't require VR. Detention, Alien Isolation... No reason for the feature to be exclusively VR, even without the issues.

I love the VR! Pro VR! Can Abby sit in front of the desk and wear a mic or maybe where Alex was when he did his drum?

Starting to watch this immediately after the VRodeo made me a little nauseous, so I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes :(

I liked the VVitch, but did not find Hereditary scary at all. It might have been way too over hyped by the time I watched it. I just found it boring and kind of odd and thought the "villains" were pretty dumb.

I love this series and both VR and non-VR is fine by me.

@outrager: I found Hereditary to be dumb as nails (there’s even a moment that got a good laugh out of me, not a « laugh to lower the tension » kind of laugh) but still crazy scary. You’re a more courageous person than I.

I think out of the entire GB staff, Abby seems to be the one most game and enthusiastic for performing in VR (and not just horror VR), so it's kind of a shame that they're hampered by a lack of space. I realize they have a designated radio-style studio that was suited for live podcasting/streaming, but surely for pre-recorded VR content they ought to be able to find a different ~8x8 ft area that's clear of obstacles and can be borrowed for an afternoon every few weeks.

the part about tarot reading inviting demonic possession makes me half expect a later level of this game to involve investigating a group of teens who have been playing the dungeons and dragons

I'm pro vr, the struggles with the floor obviously aren't great but I think vr helps the feature overall. But do what you feel is best!

I wish there was a way to stabilize VR footage, because while I enjoy these videos, the head movements make it hard to watch, uncomfortable, maybe causing motion sickness.

Definitely pro-VR. Would it help to get a lapel mic to get that big studio mic out of the way of the camera?
