I'm glad you're playing this game, @patrickklepek. I couldn't get into the gameplay but I love the setting, music and bizarre designs and this feature sort of lets me explore all those aspects further without having to play the actual game.

This might be obvious or delirious but I think Isaac and the Maggie character are the same; just mom didn't like him putting on that Maggie wig as a cutscene shows.

In my awesome theory I'm guessing Isaac gets a bit of a confidence boost when donning said wig, hence stats are slightly different.

Oh, sorry. Twitch went BONK and the stream hiccuped as a result. You didn't miss anything.

@geirr: You're totally right. All of the characters are Isaac playing dress-up.

Fantastic Scoops art, bravo to the one who made it!

So Spelunking with Scoops got me to play Spelunky( although i suck at it, even after 500 deaths…), but this is just not doing it for me.

Don't like the esthetics, don't like the "humor" and it does not seem to require the skill Spelunky does, which for me was the most interesting part, watching Patrick as he improves. Maybe the next rougelike will be more to my taste.

Still thanks to Patrick for constantly providing new content.

Watched a fair amount of the stream this morning on Twitch, first BoI stream I've ever watched, and really enjoyed your run, Patrick. The battle against Mom and your bewilderment at its triumphant conclusion had me in stitches!

As someone that never played any iteration of BoI, but will be picking this up when it hits PS4 (hopefully in April), I'm having a great time watching you play. Keep it up!

Several references to "mashing" or "hitting" the key in this video make me worried he is not holding it down... And upon reflection I remember him taking a while to figure out how to fire Brimstone, with the character animation appearing to indicate short taps insufficient to charge a shot.

Tears fire continuously as you hold the key!
