The Malazan series does start in media res so requires a certain amount of investment from the reader but Erikson did the work, he built his world and told his story - ten books in a little over ten years is a hell of an achievement.

I'll chime in here. If you're into sci-fi / fantasy books, check out the Red Rising series. Really fun read. Definitely something you'll want to read in a comfortable place.

Video games definitely have something to fight against right now, and there are people out there fighting for you whether you agree with them or not.

lol. i find this podcast funny that people get mad about what they bought.

PC gamers pay more for their systems and get more games cheaper.

console gamers pay less and pay more for their shit and usually get it later.

Who cares? Why get mad? LOL. If you are mad about somebody saying you made a bad choice about buying a PS4 or Xbox or whatever, lol. Don't buy anything and get mad. I can't stop laughing. Buy whatever you want, and enjoy it to the fullest. If you get mad, then it's because you really need to worry about some other shit. Watch Armageddon starring Bruce Willis and many other wonderful actors. Do you think Bruce Willis's character bought a ps4, listened to this podcast, and got really mad about his decision? hahaha.

Yeah ... well, welcome to PC gaming like 5 to 10 years ago. Listen to old bombcasts, there are a looooooot of them where the guys talk down PC gaming. Especially around the early 360 era. I could have written the same thing you did around that time in regards to the PC.

Why do you think PC gamers have a reputation of being angry and hating consoles? Because at some point we/they got tired of heaing that stuff too.

In the end it all comes down to preferences, play what you want where you want, getting angry about someones opinion is just pointless.
