As someone who's got an Android TV (a 2015 Bravia), I really like the app functionality. As well as launching Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, PS Now etc as quickly as my laptop it can also run ePSXe with fantastic results. Other emulators are available. ;)

My Roku and FireTV are now back in their boxes.

I just got a TV w/ Roku baked in and the TV to Netflix transition being seconds is pretty great instead of waiting for my Xbox to boot, get out the controller, etc.

What I wouldn't give for some time stamps especially on BeastCast - I tune into GB podcasts mainly for the game related discussions and they are so scarce & scattered with this show in particular.

OMG, Vinny's idea for VR sinking into the dark waters of the Mariana Trench is one of the most terrifying things I've ever heard suggested. It's the total lack of the ability to get your bearings, the abject darkness, and the constant falling sensation. Fuck that.

@hermithomeboy: I thought I've heard him use the term "boys" quite a bit more often, but so have I, and really I like to think I'm better off for it. After all, we're just a bunch of fancy podcast boys.

I do need to hear him start talking about ghosts and horses and haunted dolls more, and maybe his new favorite press releases from PR firms regarding mega food creations. I WANNA MUNCH.

Re: Smart TVs

I just got a new Vizio smart TV and even though I have a console to do my streaming, the remote has a button to launch Netflix so it's convenient and the app works relatively well.

The YouTube app is pretty sluggish, though.

The only Funko pop I've ever liked is the one for the Wendigo from Hannibal. It's a tiny, horned representation of Hannibal Lecter's presence in Will's psyche. It's supposed to have creepy eyes! Actual characters whether they're human, alien or robot all end up looking awful squashed into their aesthetic.

The best break-up game is Saints Row 3 or 4. Beating people down with giant dildos after a bad relationship is preeeetty cathartic.
