Yeah kinda, although Harrison definitely burned some goodwill phoning it for a while.

Also, only the first Mummy movie is close to being on par with the indy movies, well ok it's probably better than Temple of Doom which honestly is probably closer to staight up racist than low-key racist really. And Crystal Skull obviously but nobody even counts that.

I love Brendan Fraser. I used to watch Encino Man like every weekend as a kid, I swear. I know it's not one of his gems but it super endeared me to the man, and I'm so glad to see the internet gathering around him and supporting him.

I know parasocial relationships are a sticky area, but everything I know and have seen about the guy (beyond this episode) show a very humble and just all around cool guy who just wants to get by, despite the world slapping him around and dealing him horrible hands.

Also phew, man, I didn't realize how insanely cut he was in George of the Jungle or just how handsome he was back then. I loved the bit of Lucy at the end just losing her words at him.

@janman I think the video might be broken on this one. I have tried watching it on 3 different computers in both Chrome and Firefox but it seems like the video just resets whenever I press play. Noticed a couple of other users mentioning that the video isn't working for them either.

A mostly lovely episode. Just a shame you couldn't resist objectifying the man.

never watched many of his movies growing up but the ones i've seen he was good in, its sad when ppl aren't able to see themselves and wallow in self-esteem issues hopefully his life turns around for him now. anyway good episode once again i wasn't sold on the concept of this show but the execution of it has been great. , its nice to hear how tam speaks at the end of this about ppl being ppl n such i can't but help think of how great a statement he makes and the exact sad flip-side of things on the site with the albummer show being the exact opposite from what i watched. its great on tams part but i can't help but feel a bit disgusted by the flip-side of things on here. its frankly just a head scratcher.

I haven't watched it in decades now, but Airheads was in my VCR constantly when I was a kid. Hell of a cast, even Lemmy being a school magazine nerd - to which I relate!

Also want to drop more praise on this show generally: it's very well executed, always entertaining, and puts out some great vibes.

I can't tell if Tam's back and forth pronunciation of Fraser is on purpose, but they even addressed the correct version in the podcast...

My GOD though, opening with the 'Frasier/Fraser' clarification and then continuing to call him 'Frasier' was super frustrating - probably a bit, but holy hell that ate me up.

Fraser update: the movie he was making referenced here with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro - Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon - had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and is set for release in October. Lots of good buzz. The Cannes audience gave it a nine-minute standing ovation.

The movie is also about 3 & 1/2 hours long.
