Yep or an Xbox One or PS4 controller. You can even play the Dreamcast and N64 THPS games. Possibly even Gamecube but I don't know how far along dolphin for android is at this point. You can buy controller phone mounts for like $10 on Ama.

Jeff Gerstmann should be collecting checks for all these ideas!

I know Jeff wanted to play it with a controller, but between how rough the capture was and not being able to show some parts of the game because the controller was in the way of the screen, maybe it would've been better to use the old capture method and play with the touch screen.

However, after trying the game, I can see why Jeff preferred the controller. This game isn't really that good. The controls on the touch screen are hit-or-miss and extremely laggy, there's a noticeable delay between touching a button and the character moving and some inputs aren't even registered. The visuals look extremely dated too, even for a mobile game. Just look at Asphalt 9 and compare it to the graphics on this game.

Preregistered on android and got it free (did not pay a dime). Feels okay with on screen controls, not having much issue other than turnimg the skater a bit. My dualshock 4 was able to connect but all my face buttons arw kickflip now, lol

Also, on Android you just flick up to go, you don't have to hold, not sure if it's that same on iOS or not.

I still play Skate3 regularly, and get really bummed out when I realise that game came out almost 10 years ago. It's crazy that we aren't getting a legit Skate4.

Calling this better than THPS5 seems like a stretch. THPS5 looked bland and awkward and uninspired, but this seems like a mid-tier mobile experience that is lacking a pretty significant amount of polish.

How are you managing to get interlaced footage from a phone.
