I really, really hated LoS but for some reason I stuck with it until the end. The combat gets more enjoyable as you're able to unlock more abilities (the infamous Zobek part is actually awesome for farming) but a large majority of the game is just pure frustration. There are invisible walls placed everywhere and makes the game feel broken as you're encouraged to explain and find secrets but you often shouldn't as you may end up dying or just rubbing your body up against the air. I haven't played this game since it came out but I just remember it driving me crazy with constant annoyances, horrible storyline and hammy voice acting. I especially feel that Patrick Stuart was miss-cast as Zobek. To me, it looks like they modelled Sean Connery from Highlander.

Vinny has earned my eternal loyalty for playing Castlevania on the stream every week. Haters be damned!!

Yeah he's pretty bad at them seems to be the issue... he should try not reloading every failure once in a while...he might improve...

What does "Pick up the Purse" mean exactly... I remember it from the Sleeping Dogs Zodiac Tournament, but does it go further than that?

I'm actually kinda interested in that next lords of shadow game, playing as Dracula in modern times would be potentially cool.

That's the only occurrence I know of. Vinny didn't know what to do and the chat kept saying something about picking up the purse that got dropped by some NPC which kinda meant nothing in the end.

There seems to be a longer delay than usual before stuff shows up in other places. Sometimes stuff shows up prematurely too and give a 404 for a little while when you try to access it

@patrickdomino: It was from the Nightmare at North Point DLC Quick Look with Vinny and Patrick when some scripting broke and people kept trying to figure out how to make it work again. One of the weirdest quick looks ever recorded.

The crew watching the LoS ending was just hilarious! That game is an unappreciated gem, just love it. The DLC is actually not that bad, but it's also not necessary, I wouldn't mind leaving that plot point open.

I wonder if Gabriel got help pushing all those statues in the church at the end...

I wish Drew had referred to his game as "SAM City". He almost did. :)

That was a delightful show. Drew just absolutely ruled as expected - SAM Simulator is up there with his most excellent GB moments. Soda Drinker PRO was entertaining as hell as well, I chuckled more than I'm comfortable with. On that note, the Vinny vs. Jeff SC2 HotS shenanigans come out of nowhere and made for a great moment. And finally closure for Vinny's quest. I'm somewhat surprised how weird and religious that got in the end. The epilogue was pretty fun though. Especially while anticipating the fate of the mosaic window.

Jeff and Vinny making voices at each other may be the greatest achievement of this website. I almost died.

While I don't want to nap, sometimes they can be great. Like when I fell asleep for a half hour while watching this and drifted back in and out but now I feel refreshed. The only bad part is having to rewatch the Thief 2 segment for what I missed.

I wish I had Vinny's arms...

Michiru Yamane not doing recent Castlevania OSTs is a goddamn crime.

For the Giant Bomb crew (if you read this): Putting Symphony of the Night in a CD player WOULD play music, but only one track and it was not on the soundtrack I don't think. I'd have to go back and listen to my soundtrack, but I don't think it is on there. It was a great track though.

Patrick is bad at Thiefing. I get that type of game isn't for everyone, but for those who are into them, these games make Dishonored look like a...well, an easy, silly game. Don't let this video make the decision for ya, is all I'm sayin'.

@householddutch: Patrick is still better than I am at it. Not sure why everyone thinks playing games = being good at all games anyway.

@mrangryface: Yeah, I hear ya. As long as someone enjoys it, it's all good. I'm certainly "garbage" at some games that I adore. I suppose what I meant (and at the risk of sounding like that person who screams he isn't playing it right) is that this particular series is an odd duck. Ya gotta kinda be down with skulking in the shadows and listening for guard noise, and creeping along/making sure you don't make a whole lot of noise. I guess its like the sim Drew was playing at the beginning, not everyone's cup of tea and if you go in flicking random switches like a crazy person, not that much fun.

Don't forget, the first track on the old PS1 discs was always the data track for the game. And on the SotN disc, track 2 (the only music track) began with a word of warning from Alucard, telling you this, and advising you not to try to play the first track in a CD player, ending with an exasperated "...but you probably won't listen to me anyway, will you?"

(And yeah, you're right, it was a bonus track not included on the actual audio soundtrack)

Loving Patrick's facial hair. I'm also beard deficient but since I'm 24 years old maybe there's still hope for me...maybe...someday...

Good show guys. Castlevania bit at the end was great.

Just catching up with this. Best part by far is Brad being 4 health from death in SotN without even realizing it after he skipped refilling his health. I imagine chat was going crazy then.
