Video Game Plots Dan Didn't Understand in 2019 [SPOILERS]

This should be a weekly segment. I would even go so far as to say perhaps the spin is to recite those misinterpretations of games as wrestling. Go all the way with the "inside baseball" banter. Melodramatically describing the final MGS4 fight as "Cena vs Taker on top of Hell In A Cell at Wrestlemania 200" or something, shit like that. Anyway, excited for these videos. This is great.

From what I get from this...dan understands stories in games and in general and people just over state that they think hes simple when he's not or the games and movies are really just more simple then pat yourself on the back reviewer/critics make it seem. Dan is the basis of the general audience. Hes underestimated by people creating content yet enjoys base material and doesnt talk about the fact that he or she does understand the nuanced elements. His control was kinda right along with many others. Control is actually way more simple if your use to that way they talk about stuff. Ie change astral realm to magic and change projector to portal and it all becomes really simple. Add in purposely vague stuff for sequels that you should ignore and the plot is fairly normal. The confusion helps push it in people's mind as this weird so good crazy thing but like most stuff if you saw something similar its easier to understand examples SCP, berserk, inception, mib,

The production put into laying down relevant, timely b-roll game footage underneath Dan's narration is solid! Great stuff.

To be fair to Dan, all those stories are full nonsense happenings and pure amateur writing, I couldn't fault him for just playing these games, nod his head as stupid things are being said and just continue to play more.

Gears 5 Story is just total bullshit...

This video is a very good use of Dan's weird brain. Bravo.

When during the deliberations Dan said he didn't pick up on a couple of reveals in DMC5 I couldn't believe it. Mainly because they spell out the entire plot fairly directly over the course of the very short game.

He understood the plot of The Outer Wilds, but not DMC5.

This could be a regular feature, like Drunk History but with Dan. The rest of the crew could reenact the story, it would be gold.
