I wanna state that a Kerbal Space Program feature would be glorious!

I absolutely love how @vinny 's new fatherhood has him reflexedly using "soft" swear words like "Ah, sugar!" about 50% of the time.

To answer the question posed in the video, I'd rather see weekly KSP videos than Castlevania ones. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch pretty much anything you put out, but Castlevania isn't really a major part of my gaming history until Symphony of the Night.

I'd really like(prefer) to see a KSP feature. I think it leans so much more into being an entertainment platform.

i do actually like castlevania 2. it's a weird game but it has a lot of the same bullshit that the other original NES castlevanias had. Sure there's some wonkyness and bad translation but otherwise it's as fun as the other castlevanias IMO

That brand of swear is called a "minced oath," by the way. It includes any similar "softening," often using some sounds from the original words. The term comes from swearing oaths to gods, which is considered taboo by some. "Gosh darn it" supposedly avoids blasphemy... even though everyone knows it just means "god damn it."

And now I've learnt something new! I love this website!

Oh, yes, you definitely CAN do that. For instance: I love Zisteau's KSP series (both of them), and I love Kurt J Mac's as well. I just don't think Vinny will do that. Giant Bomb in general doesn't seem to have that kind of a focus. Heck, even with Flight Club stuff (even the ones where Drew is in control) you eventually get them trying to land upside down in a helicopter or something. Often urged by Vinny himself. And don't get me wrong, that stuff is hilarious...but I get my fill of that with their first hour or so of those kinds of videos. If you want a long form series to last with this group you need something like an Endurance Run, VinnyVania, Breaking Brad, or Metal Gear Scanlon: all of which are, if not 100% linear, not exactly sandbox experiences that allow them to dick around a bit but eventually force them onwards.

I love that one of the big events marking the 'launch' of GBeast is Simon's Quest and Vinnyvania. It's a completely inspired choice :D

"Are you kidding me? That sounds like something I'd say to Brad." Man, I love Giant Bomb East, but I really do miss Vinny trolling Brad in games.

Oh lord, this game. This game is so messed up. It's kind of important I suppose, it's good ideas do inform later better games but man. What were they thinking.

Makes me want to play Faxanadu. It's basically this but functional and not totally bat shit insane. Less esoteric but still cryptic in its own ways.
