can't wait to watch them not play echo arena or any high-profile big-budget VR releases and then say a bunch of unimaginative shooting gallery games made by 1 person are indicative of the whole medium of virtual reality!

edit:ok it's cool that they focused on less shooters - to the top is magic and I'm glad they like it - and It's great to see all these games I've never even heard of. If GB VR coverage becomes about highlighting small gems, then that's all I need. Also I can forgive them for avoiding Echo Arena, it's an oculus title, and in beta, but it'd work just fine on the vive controllers with one .dll. And Jeff says they'll get Star Trek bridge crew going soon and I can't wait for that. :)

Edit 2: I shouldn't complain, I just love VR content from GB and I want so much more. I don't even want comprehensive VR coverage, I just have this chip on my shoulder regarding the GB boys opinion of VR being full of wave shooters. But that's just their opinion and I shouldn't expect them to have the urge to play everything that comes out in VR just because they can. They think putting the thing on is a hassle, that's fine. There's just more good than bad, more unique than bland at this point, and I want them to see some of that.

It doesn't. It also hasn't got an announced release date bar "later this year".

Still no Star Trek: Bridge Crew, huh? Are they ever going to do that? I've kind of been looking forward to it ever since they said before E3 "yeah we'll do that after E3." Still waiting.

My main problem with VR is how all the headsets will ruin my hair. The PSVR seems like it will be the least offender as it will just push my quaff back slightly more.

But I don't think I can, in good conscience, pay so much for this tech, until they fix this issue.

@pilgore: I would LOOOVVVEEE a cross-coast ST:BC stream (cross-coast because they HAVE to have Vinny in there too). I recall them mentioning though that getting "that many" VR headsets/PCs/whatever together though is an issue. I think it does PS4-PC crossplay though?

Ah no worries, I'm similar when it comes to JRPG content. That's my jam, but it's not really GBs, and that's fine - but there are times where it's disappointing for sure! Still love the GB crew and what they do show.

To The Top looks neat. I think the dev was in the Giant Bomb Facebook group talking about it. He said it was coming to Oculus store a week after Steam, but I don't think it happened yet.

Echo Arena however is the stand out game, but it will be interesting to see them try to play in that relatively small space. I have been punching the crap out of my walls.

To The Top is real real good. Bummed that Jeff stopped when he did, the next level "Slides" is one of the favorites I've played so far. It has a bunch of sliding down chutes and flinging yourself through the air. It was really fun to play over and over until I got the 3rd gold for speed.

To the Top seems really cool. I wonder if there are plans to bring that to PSVR, because i'd be really into picking it up for that.

They also need a closer look at onward, Jeff never figured out how to play. I still think onward is the best shooter in vr and no one else even comes close. To the top was neat, ill get it eventually.

Also when it comes to tracking issues, mirrors/reflective surfaces might mess with lighthouse`s.

I like that the developers of Gunball are the top of the global leaderboard.

I'd also like to see climbey on the stream and in addition the new Google Blocks thing that people seem to be liking a lot. To be honest I have a Vive and the new audio headset but haven't played that much VR recently. Star Trek Bridge Crew is fun even in solo mode.

Whether this is ultimately good or bad sign I don't know. Blowing out stock before a new revision...or blowing out stock because Facebook is done messing with VR?

I'm tempted, but the market/standards fragmentation and the notion (which may admittedly be incorrect, but it's the impression I get) that more things work better with the Vive is scaring me away. Proprietary games/tech between Oculus and Valve was such a boneheaded move.

EDIT: Just looked up Electric Hat Games, and they're based out of here in Austin, which explains it. Cool to see them rep the local scene!

I know, but it would be worth the trouble. Giant Bomb Bridge Crew shenanigans is just too good of a concept to turn down. And I think it's definitely achievable, as it doesn't need a super PC to run because of the PS4 version.

Glad they stopped playing the shitty shooting galleries and then complaining said shooting gallery is the whole of VR. I know none of them are really in the VR games scene and I absolutely want more VR content from Giantbomb, but I wish they would surf the subreddits or something and figure out all the cool new shit like GORN which full released today, Tales of Glory which is mount and blade warband, Climby which is like to the top but controls more realistically, or Sairento which added bows. Orbus VR is the MMO VR game that has an open beta later this month, last closed beta I played 14 hours straight of it so I'm hoping to do the same

I bit the bullet and ordered one. I've been wanting to get one for the race sims anyways. The price drop gave me the green light.

Oh man, To The Top looks amazing. While I'm exceedingly happy with my PSVR, I do wish its tracking allowed for games like that. (I guess it'd work if you mounted the camera near the ceiling, but we'll still never see it on the PS Store)

Edit: Oh, right! Bridge Crew! I need to pick that up some day. It really looks cool, even though the idea of playing it online hits me right in the anxiety button.
