I really hope they do away with the floating disembodied hand in VR and start making it feel like you actually have arms. The games that have shown this method work and look a million times more immersive.

I hope bethesda drops the focus on VR and it's still a fun little side thing because no one out there is enjoying the VR versions of those games more.

Beat Saber is so damn good, i've put more hours into that than any other VR game.

Its definitely a straps on game lol. Really impressive for an Early Access game too, custom songs have already been modded in by fans.

Is there any particular reason why several of the latest videos don't have an HD option for download? Neither this, the latest Breakfast n Ben, nor the Spypartyparty streams have one :(

Someone might have already mentioned it but in Beat Saber the ones with the dots aren't stabs but you can just swipe in any direction

skyrim VR just looks bad to me. Instead of adding immersion, it seems like the things you can't do break it more than the desktop version would.

Most of the stuff that they are complaining about in Skyrim is actually just the result of Jeff not taking a good enough look at the menu/ control layout. You can turn totally turn off the tunnel vision effect and pick stuff up directly and toss it around. At least you can on PSVR so I have to imagine it is the same here.

With my undying love of good rhythm games, if beat saber has a true level editor come out for custom songs then that might be the game that gets me to invest in a headset. Also Starbear Taxi looks adorable. Great VRodeo!

Just wanted to say that you can pick things up. You just need to hold down the "pick up button", which in the case of the HTC Vive would be the trackpad.

I wish Jeff opened the map in Skyrim, it's so much fun flying around in there. I almost fell over the first time I realized how that thing worked.

Okay watching Jeff play beat saber has reduced me to tears of laughter. I cannot wait to see what the community does with these clips.

@cason: It absolutely is; you can totally throw cheese wheels around, just like in the base game. The VRodeo format of taking only a cursory look at each game before playing it for the video is really hurting everyone's impression of VR as a whole. Each individual thing they miss isn't a huge deal, but there's a "death by a thousand cuts" thing going on.

I have a feeling that watching Alex play Beat Saber would be something special.

I can't say anything about the Vive Version but I do have the PSVR version and you can do everything in it that the PS4 version does, I Imagine you can with the Vive.

If VR is making us wait longer for the next ES game, industry is fucking it up...hard.

There are many iterations of Jeff, Virtual Jeff remains one of my favorites.

This video made me remember the Skyrim Civil War plotline, and I find it crazy that it was a populist narcissist that leans hard on racial white/Nord supremacy ( who was also deep in the pockets of the fucking bad guys ) vs a woman who basically ran the Empire for years behind her husband, but wasn't trusted because of very light "corruption"/she's a woman.

I just noticed the file is there, it's just not linked to for some reason. So if you take the video link for "High" and replace "3200" with "4000" it takes you to the HD video instead.

Man I'm glad free movement is becoming a standard option in VR games.

Beat Saber seems really cool! Level editor/more songs is definitely needed, but It's nice that it's already in the works!

The depth of suckiness that is the (default) Skyrim UI continues to both baffle and disappoint.

I can't wait for a price drop on Skyrim VR. I'm not about to spend $60 on a game I didn't care for when I played it seven years ago, but an open world VR game just seems awesome to me.

$30-40 sounds about right to me.

You could make any NPC killable in Skyrim by using a console command on PC

@steveurkel: I enjoy skyrim VR 1000% more than I ever enjoyed it on 360. Also, their complaint about not being able to pick stuff up isn't true. You can pick up everything.

First Game Tapes and now VRodeo, I'm happy to see my favorite features returning! I hope Demo Derby comes back again soon as well.

Haven't commented on a video for what feels like 5 or so years but man, Beat Saber just instantly grabbed me. Just a perfect blend of my kind if music, rhythm game and fun. Shame I don't VR of any stripe!

For future reference, you always start with some Magic Spells at the beginning of an Elder Scrolls game.

AudioSurf has the ability to play your own songs, which made that game for me. Beat Saber reminds me of that in a way, although I think it looks like more fun than AudioSurf.

@benpack: That giant strat is legit. I've been using it since I found it, nice to know you use it too.

I've used that voice shout mod before. Its tricky to set up cause you need to change setting on the windows voice command. Since Win10 I have not tried it, but win7 worked perfectly after you setup for each shout (i skiped some) your custom voice .

It's a nice rush being able to shout FUS-Ro-Dah and do it in game.

@reasonableman: Ya, I've said this a couple times now. There's absolutely faults with VR, but some of GB's quick looks make it look so much worse than it actually is.

• Objects can be interacted with, picked up, tossed, dropped, etc.
• I assume control schemes are the same/similar to Fallout 4. You should be able to adjust the movement settings so that forward is always forward on trackpad and not relative to the position of the vive wand.

That being said, a lot of Jeff's other critiques are absolutely valid (lame lockpicking system, sword combat is meh, etc.)

I think they need a less comfortable couch.

Beat Saber looks insane. Might be a really good game to get your blood pumpin'.

In Beat Saber, I really like how the sound effect that plays when you miss a block is still played in sync with the song. That way you still get feedback without the annoying off-tempo noises that could make you miss more blocks in a row.

Also, damn, Jeff's really good at Beat Saber!

I would be pretty surprised if you couldn't pick up and manipulate objects considering its been in every Bethesda game since like Oblivion.

The controls (touch the touch pads) are the same at in Fallout 4, and that's what made that game awful to play. That said, this one supposedly allows you to use a regular controller to play, which I wish Jeff had tried.

I wish they would put regular controller support into Fallout because I wouldn't have gotten a refund if it had it, but the Vive controllers controls were so terrible I couldn't get used to it.

PSVR Skyrim has a control mode that allows you to tilt the left move controller like an arcade joystick, which I found a lot more immersive than any thumb movement controls. The teleport sucks, you can't go off cliffs, or any heights where you will lose health. The distance is stamina based. And while you can't pick up items with your hands, you can use your face as a cursor, and picking up coins/items from a table is so much faster than with a controller!

This is equivalent to the manspaning smile guys tell girls as if their suppose to smile to meet your criteria of a look you enjoy. BEN doesnt need to sleep if he doesnt want to. He looks how he feels like no need for him do down espressos so he can look good for your benefit.
