Spyborgs
Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Sep 22, 2009
Spyborgs is a Wii brawler designed for co-op play. It was initially intended to mimic -- to the point of parody -- a standard merchandising-focused Saturday morning cartoon. Due to poor initial reception, the game was actually made "more gritty and realistic" before final release, though remains notably cartoony.
Take A Look At The New Spyborgs
Project H.A.M.M.E.R could of been a great game
i believe Nintendo cancel that title though
anyways Spyborgs looks great
"Looks like some fun. I'll suggest my little bro get it for his Wii."Nah,this game doesent even look decent,Id recomend a great family game,Manhunt 2.
The question is, will it still be like the old Spyborgs? I suppose we'll find out...
I dunno, looks kind of interesting. I don't think the style fits the concept kind of well, but it looks pretty decent, though I could see this turning out quite boring. The "funny videos to weird minigames" idea sounds like a good one. Hopefully, it'll still have that...
Lol. People whine there are too many mini game, uh, games. Then when capcom changes it into an action title, they whine because the team now has 3 dudes instead of 5. What the hell? You actually consider a change in design some sort of negative feature reduction? How can anyone be serious about something like this?
For some of the comments, the game has a very Ratchet & Clank visual look to it, and in fact developers from that, and other known franchises are making it, but hey, let's all ignore that, and the fact it actually looks good(hey funny guy with the draw distance crap, there was fog or smoke or some other effect there, note the depth of view in many other scenes), to pretend that in this instance what we really wanted was another mini game fest and that NOW it's a kids only title (dude, look at your own avatar before trying to put it down for being cartoony). Seriously? Why the hell did any of you like the titles these guys worked on before then, they sure didn't look any less kiddy.
Edit: An IGN preview. Sounds quite good. Looks quite good. Maybe read it since they saw it up close and didn't just search YouTube.
Seeing this makes me hope old school brawlers also become trendy thanks to the Wii, just like lightgun shooters. I'd very much love to see a new Three Dirty Dwarves on it. I was just watching its intro earlier so it was a pleasant shock to see another three character brawler show up. New Die Hard Arcade/Dynamite Cop games would also rock. Has there even been a good brawler since? The PS2 sure got tons of hype for launching with the half assed Bouncer, but this is probably one of the better efforts in the genre for the last several years.
this just looks kinda dumb. anybody else notice how bouncer's head is exactly the same as clank's from ratchet and clank?
"Dalai had a write up about this. I had never heard of it until Dalai's blog, so just wait and see for me."Yeah, that Dalai guy just doesn't stop.
Anyway, I'm fine with the change in the art style, but it looks like they may have toned down the silliness... not happy about that. Still, just keeping my eye on it until we get more details.
Why would you not make 4 characters if that's the maximum that the Wii supports?
I meant 4 characters, instead they have 3 characters and it only has 2 player co-op.
There I've made sense kinda.
I actually think that looks like it could be fun to play. I like the visual style for it.
Oh wait? it's on the WIIII? Well if that's the case...
THIS CRAPS FOR F'IN BABIES AND GRANDMAS, YEA NOT ENOUGH CHAINSAW STABBING AND GORE AND SWEARING YEA MOTHER F'N F'ER.......F U!
Yay! Now I too fit in!
So they basically turned a likeable cartoon game into another Bomberman: Act Zero? Great.
