yeah - 1080 is a great game..... so are the amped games -- but i totally feel like the ssx series and ssx 3 in particular is in a class of its own. i wasn't a huge fan of ssx on tour, but i can't wait to see what the team comes up with for this current generation of consoles.

I really liked SSX Blur for the Wii. I seemed to be the only person who learned how to control it.

I always thought Trcky was better than 3, but it was still amazing. I loved just cruising down the mountain, so some kind of SSX 4 would be something i'd love to play.

I enjoyed the game and everything, but the series lost something for me come the third installment. SSX will always be my favourite, simply because it had that bit of magic about it.

From the first time I saw it Pure seemed very similar to these games. I would still really like to see a new SSX on the next gen systems (preferably Ps3/360 for obvious reasons) but I hope this game will have a similar feel to it's racing at least. Even though it isn't a snowboard game.

My favorite game out of the series. This game was pretty much perfection, in my mind. Take out the "one of the best" and you got it right.

    I'm dying for a next-gen SSX game.

I've just started pulling out this old classic and it has aged VERY well. Its still freaking great fun to play. I think the biggest reasons are because it created a believable world and atmosphere on the mountains, with the DJ that was actually not super annoying, decent tunes, good characters, awesome presentation, well designed mountains that can crumble and environment that can be manipulated by smashing into trees or thin ice, awesome animation and transitions between animations (you can slow mo replays and it still looks fucking great. The environments are so interesting and exciting to ride through sometimes (Caves, avalanches right in your face etc.) you might think it was a freaking adventure game. Freeriding down the peaks can actualy be alot of fun, NO LOADING EVER while riding on the mountain, very few menus, three very distinct peaks that are actually seamlessly connected to each other. The ability to ride down the whole mountain for 30 mins without a single loading screen.. I mean that just captures everything you want in a snowboarding game doesn't it?

This game just has an overall good vibe to it. If you still have a copy - pull it out, its still fun!!

I got it, except for the damn uber-tricks. Basically, I was stuck either doing the ones that I could do over and over again, or just randomly waving my arms around

I always wanted to play it but never got around to it. As it stands, Tricky's the only snowboarding game I've tried. In addition, its also the only one I've liked.

SSX Tricky? My specific, detailed memory of the game is bad so keep in mind I'm working on nostalgia here. What I do recall though is pulling off specials over huge ramps and an amazingly cheesy rendition of "It's Tricky" by Run DMC over the intro. The overall style of the game and hours wasted playing it with friends is what got me though.

I found SSX Tricky to be just as good as SSX 3, if not better... I played SSX 3 a long time ago and can't remember the exact differences between 3 and Tricky, but Tricky is great though, no doubt about it.

If developers could blend the personality and craziness of Tricky with the gameplay and huge mountains of 3, I think you'd have the absolute best snowboarding game possible.  Some of the voice work in SSX Tricky was priceless - Billy Zane and Oliver Platt in particular.  I'd buy a new SSX game.

Yea one of the reason's I love this game is because of the open world aspect of the Mountian with the 3 peaks, they pulled it off really well on the last-gen consoles, I'd love to see the openworld aspect on the more powerful consoles
