The Team
Stone Lantern Games is a Boston-based studios comprised of 4 MIT graduates.
Kent Willis - Lead
After finishing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion in two sleepless weeks, Kent emerged from the basement of his childhood home with a desire to create an epic story of his own. He began his own journey by learning to code and how to tell stories. While building software for robots, Kent invited his friends from MIT on the chase for that dream—of bringing an entire world to life in a video game.
Ariel Wexler - Architect
Ariel's passion for game development began at the early age of 7. His favorite games would often inspire thoughts of new abilities, units, and world lore to enrich the experience. This ongoing desire to tweak existing games evolved into a life long trend of making strange and experimental game fragments. Studying computer science and physics in college have honed Ariel's talents at building procedural animations and interactive media. Kent has concisely summarized him as "a true painter of numbers, with a vast collection of formulas ready to craft any moment."
Cynthia Lu - Artist
Cynthia is the visual mastermind behind the beautiful world of Evergate. She also happens to be an MIT-educated electrical engineer. When she's not showcasing her art, she might be building destructive robots with her Battlebots team or cosplaying as her favorite characters from Overwatch.
M. R. Miller - Composer
M.R. was inspired by games like Final Fantasy 7 and Sonic the Hedgehog to become both a composer and a software engineer. He likes mashups of the two disciplines, e.g. he once programmed dancing robots for an opera for the Prince of Monaco. These days, he works on his own music (Planet Diver, Slime-san) and alongside other composers on films (Power Rangers, Fate of the Furious) and games (ABZÛ, Pode).
