Yes I will buy it, and  one very big reason why it won't be DLC is if mostlikely cause there are rumors of it and a big demand, if they change the net code the entire infrastructure would be all new. Add that to all the new characters and such this is just a new game.

Btw I don't know if it's been mentioned here yet but eventhubs pretty much confirmed that this will be a new disc but priced as an upgrade.

It's a bland and boring chain of QTEs with breaks in it for shitty combat, Nolan North being Nolan North and the worst written ending i've seen in a videogame in a long time. "

well at the risk of being yelled at for having prince of Persia argument in a street fighter thread. 
I think nolan north was awesome as the prince I actually hate him as drake. you must have not done the optional conversations which were really funny.
and the only reason you didn't like the ending is because you must not have understood why he did what he did. I liked the ending because I knew what was going on and then payed for the epilogue and loved that too. So I loved the game and you didn't oh well you can go play whatever it is that you play.

I haven't played the first version of Street Fighter IV so this is a must purchase for me.

I voted yes.  I'm looking forward to all the new features, plus I'm curious as to what they're going to do with the existing cast.  I wonder if they're going to sell this game as a Greatest Hits title.

all i can say is those of you who aren't buying this are just gonna be left out. the scene moves with the games. i'm just glad i'll finally be able to make use of my deejay skills built up over the years of super turbo. can't wait for the tournys for this game next year.

If it was downloadable content, I'd be more inclined to buy it. Really, this kind of expansion pack would be a good fit for downloadable content.

People pay A LOT every year for the newest iteration of a sports game (not much change each year with these) for full retail price.  Why can't I pay "not full retail price" for an updated fighting game that doesn't come as often as a sports franchise game?  It will also be more than a year from the launch of sfiv when ssfiv comes out in spring...

I really hope I'm mistaken but are they expecting me to pay full price for a couple of characters that should of just been in the original game?

Are you serious? Lmao. The Game Of The Year Editions are just for those who haven't purchased the game yet, as it has all of the DLC + original game in them, and they are typically $40-$50.

Since the game will not a full priced one I will most likely buy it. I'm guessing it will be int $39.99.  While I would much more like to have it in DLC form. I'll take what they give me.

Is there even a release date for this yet?  Im thinking its something that will come out next year.  If so I dont think Ill have a problem buying it, jsut like when I baught the new Fight Night or Madden.  At first I was pissed this was not going to be DLC but some of you bring up good points when comparing it to games like Tiger Woods and Madden which have yearly releases.

I'm on the fence, I was already about to rebuy it for PS3 (originally had it for 360 loved the game but the 360 is not for fighters). And was getting ready to pick it up off Amazon for $30 then the next day Super gets announced. I think I might as well get it and hope for DLC. A few new characters are not exactly worth it but I'm more worried about the online community jumping ship to Super and there only being a few peeps left on the original.
