Syndicate is out pretty soon and from the trailers it seems pretty cool. I loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution and it seems in the same motif albeit a bit more action gunplay and less stealthy (which I played).

Did anyone play the co-op beta and find it anygood? Non of my gamer friends are into that kind of stoof. Thinking about pre-ordeirng it but I haven't heard any previews or the like on the single player, I mean yeah you can hi-jack brains or something but what else?

I'm interested but I don't know what to make of this game yet. It seems like its basically Deus Ex: HR, which I loved, so I'm optimistic. I'm thinking about preordering it as well. That $20 credit from Amazon is tempting. Plus I can sell it in a week or two and use that money and credit for ME3.

I'm not a fan of the hud and the weapon fov.

I've heard almost nothing about it, which is mostly intentional. I'm waiting for post release coverage to make a decision. I like cyberpunk though, so I hope it's good.

I'm very interested in that game, but I'm waiting for reviews to come out before making any decisions about it. I hope it turns out to be good.

I certainly enjoyed the demo. I'm really interested in what the campaign will be like.

It's going to be average, but I want to play it (and buy it) anyway.

Not excited at all. As a fan of the original syndicate games I feel the game is a money grab, but is it a worthwhile money grab I wonder? As I'm not a big fan of the fps genre it isn't. But it could be good regardless.

I'm interested in it for sure, definitely waiting on reviews though.

Waiting for GB review, quicklook and frankly a price drop. Not willing to pay full price for Syndicate game that is not really a syndicate game.

Yeah I'll be playing it come Tuesday. I liked the demo, and look forward to a nice change-up from so much Reckoning(and rpgs period)lately.

Also, I'm one of those guys who are not happy about EA's butchering of the franchise.

Eagerly awaiting a physical copy of the PC version. it turns out it runs like a dream on even ancient hardware (9800GT), and that's 60fps 1080p for ya. The visual design, the UI, I am in love.. really everything but the ugly console port graphics and controls on the PS3 was a lot of love. I hope to see the franchise grow and expand a little after this.
 
(btw there were "layoffs" after the project wrapped up - that's normal, some people are hired just for one project and then set free, in case gaming media tries to find something bad about the whole deal. They did want to do more with the game though, competitive action multiplayer for one thing.)

I really enjoyed Riddick and The Darkness but I'm not so sure about Syndicate after knowing people left StarBreeze.

pre ordered it of amazon but im not that excited, so we will see, worth a risk in my mind

They're trying to do right by the franchise at least. I'm excited about another turn-based strategy game, and finally one on consoles (I was thinking for years that gamepad controls could handle tbs games way better than rts games).

Chances are that because Firaxis is developing it, it's going to be a good game.

Yep, basically it's the head designers and founders that left. :(

Also, the current Starbreeze guys said that Syndicate will be less open and more linear than Riddick or Darkness. And those games are not even that linear and open. I'm just kinda sick of linear corridor-shooters at this point.

The demo was actually fun despite the lag, the bad visuals, and the unusual shooting mechanics. It seems like you actually have to work as a team in the co-op. I will be interested to hear Jeff's take on it.

I'm sold on it. I like the style, I like the themes, I like first person shooters, and I love Starbreeze games. I have it pre-loaded and waiting on my pc.

I'm really interested in it (and I loved oldschool Syndicate) but I'll be more interested when I can get some money to import it into Australia.

I preordered it for the 20$ amazon credit. Also I was mildly interested in it and the co-op demo left good impressions about how the game plays and feels. I'm cautiously optimistic. Aside from co-op videos, I've seen nothing of the single player save for one E3 demo level. So I'm trying not to set high expectations for it.

The demo was alright, but that's the thing it's just yet another OKish FPS, can't possibly get excited for those anymore.

I preordered at Amazon. I liked the demo, dig the style, and hope it hits the action notes that Deus Ex didn't. Also, I need some shooties to get rid of the nerdies that have invaded my room due to Reckoning.

It seems promising of what I have tested so far (to level 3). I like the mix of action and puzzle solving even though the killboxes seems to overstay their welcome a bit. I think this game looks really cool and it has had some unexpteced eviroments (and use of Skrillex music) so far but it's also very confusing to begin with. You really have to get used to the visual look and allt the funtionality with breaching.

It's not really for me that's not is a big FPS buff but I do like the heft and feel of your character. I always like when I have a sense of place in the world. I also think they made a good job of conveying Syndicate's themes. I would not call this a money grab because someone has clearly put time and effort into this so even if it's not as the classical game it still seems quite cool and this comes from someone who has played the old game a lot and toasted A LOT of innocent citizens with flamethrowers.

Based on three levels this looks promising.

ITT: People who are angry that Syndicate (2012) isn't like Syndicate (1993). Where were you cheesedogs when Fallout 3 was announced to lambast that it wasn't in line with the original games? More at eleven!

Anyway, I think this game looks fucking awesome. Everything I've seen just screams something akin to F.E.A.R., with how fast the combat moves, the variety they give you, and all of the cool looking weapons. I'm a huge science fiction buff as well, so I say, bring on the fucking science fiction renaissance. I think all we need is a System Shock 3, and we'll be full circle to 1999.

So yes, I am fucking stoked.

I love the augmented reality interface, how fucking bloody the game is, and just how damn cyberpunk the game is.

Seriously man, it's so fucking cyberpunk.

When you're playing co-op, and you need a team mate to revive you, they say "reboot" instead of revive.

I don't know man, I'm way into really, really bloody and dumb 90s cyberpunk, and the game seems to have that in spades. Starbreeze has always been great at atmosphere, and this game's nailed it in my opinion.
