Well having played this game for a long time i think i can safely say i have encountered almost every problem and piece of confusion there is to offer.

So if you have a question about TF2 ask away. 

  Just a warning most of the technical stuff will have the same response as there is only one way to truly "fix" your TF2 and that is to re install :)

 I am not a technical expert ..however I am friends with people who know about that end of things so I can help you out anyway :D

Or have the masses really gone insane, and are paying money for what is essentially skins that have no value on game play at all.

I don't think people are "batshit" over hats. It's just something you can collect and as every MMO or Dungeon Crawler tought us loot is a powerful tool to keep people playing. Most players I know have some hat for their favourite class that they tried to get and leave it at that. For me it was the Stainless Steele Pot for the Soldier, the Bandana for the Heavy and Ze Goggles for the Medic.

Other than that I don't really care one way or another about hats.

New weapons are a different thing but those are easier to get. People like those because the offer, for the most part, a differen way to play any given class. And Valve did a pretty good job in balancing them. There are only very few straight upgrades.

I've got 758 hours and I have no problem with the view models.
 
On to my question. Why aren't you on my Steam friends yet?

I play with a FPS config. Mainly to get a constant 120 fps for my 120 hz monitor.

Do you think they will add more slots to the characters? I mean, in addition to Head and Misc? Like Gloves, Torso, Boots, etc. Something like in The Witcher 2? I mean, we're not limited to hats anymore, with boots coming out and I think Soldier and Spy have some Torso items...

Do people still play it on 360? I've always wanted to try it but have heard that the 360 version never received any of the game's upgrades, so people opt for the PC version instead. The problem is, I don't play PC games. Am I out of luck?

If I remember hearing correctly, the 360 version doesn't even have the Pyro's airblast. It's that old.

So I'm not sure how technical you want to get with the questions, but if you know this it would put a rest to my random thoughts that keep me up at night. Any who, I'm wondering if "The Bazaar Bargain" has a larger head hit box then the other sniper rifles. I sort of find it too easy to hit someone in the head with it.

It's like 90% keys. I did buy those two limited edition Halloween hats, though, because they both looked awesome. Those were like $7-10 each.

I do check the forums sometimes, but I don't judge a community in a game based on forums, I judge them based on the people I meet while playing the game. And from that point of view the community is relaxed and nice.

@turbomonkey138: When I'm using a config for max FPS, is it normal that blood, gibs and explosions turn into black blocks? I want those effects gone, it looks terrible.
