Team Fortress 2
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Oct 10, 2007
The long-awaited sequel to the class-based first-person shooter Team Fortress Classic sports a unique cartoony visual style, more accessible gameplay, and a very large amount of updates and new features since its original release.
New game mode revealed
New game mode KING OF THE HILL where one team has to defend the capture point for three minutes, along with a brand new map designed just for it, and two adjusted arena maps. Can't wait to get playing on that snow map, looks awesome.
Still want my Demoman update more than I want a new game mode or hats which I still have yet to obtain any from when they were originally introduced.
Nice. Can't wait.
I wonder why they keep doing these free updates... good for us, but this can't be profitable for them.
Yeah, but they added hats, which is obviously better then a class!" Sounds cool, but I'm still not convinced about this classless update. I'd much rather them work hard on updating all the classes as soon as possible than messing about with a classless update. But then, more content can really only be a good thing. "
Hats, focus on the hats.
Because...L4D2" Nice. Can't wait. I wonder why they keep doing these free updates... good for us, but this can't be profitable for them. "
just kidding
/flamebait.
KOTH= Pyro clusterfuck on the point.
" oooh wow King of The Hill. Can't find that on any other video game.... "Can't find it in TF2 :O
I'm really interested to see what they put in this update alltogether. If it's just maps and hats then thats ok but I actually expect them too add something else to this. Something weird and big... the new mode could be cool though. King of the hill should be interesting as long as it's not just an insane Pyro rush.
" And yet nothing for the 360 still. "Actually the 360 did get an update. You can turn crits on and off and some other stuff. Not that it matters, you should be playing it on PC, crazy old PC's can run the game fine. It's even got direct x 8 support for crying out loud. During the update weekends it's $10, you're just cheap if you don't buy the greatest multiplayer FPS game ever made for that. Hell, I'd buy the game all over again for $60 if I had too.
I actually own TF2 for my PC and my old ass computer can't run it. But the annoying thing is that valve promised some sort of update to the classes for the 360 by Christmas 2008 and still nothing.
" @CharlieTuna: I actually own TF2 for my PC and my old ass computer can't run it. But the annoying thing is that valve promised some sort of update to the classes for the 360 by Christmas 2008 and still nothing. "Yeah it kinda sucks, I upgraded my PC just to play TF2. Played it for ages on the 360. It would be kinda weird to only have 6 of 9 classes updated though, I'm thinking that they might just release all the new stuff (when everything is done) plus the whole game as a XBLA thing and DLC. Hell, I'd buy that too, got a ton of friends playing it on 360. I'd be surprised if Microsoft let it update for free.
"I sell propane and propane accessorries"
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Anywho, that's pretty cool.
trying to think though, usually an update uses 3 days for weapons, so either this update is only 4 days long and conatins the normal stuff, it contains neutral weapons, or we are getting 4 very different things, eg:
Competitive Beta 2.0
Trading System
You know, things we wouldn't normally get.
