The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
I am Going to Control My Hero With... [PC]
"*sigh* Dont buy a racing wheel" (To be read in Ryan's voice)I will be playing with a racing wheel.
Should I buy a racing wheel?
not sure why i would use the KB/M for this. its not like the extra precision of the KB/M is needed. and the UI looks like its smartly laid out so i don;t have to press 'i' for invertory or 'm' for map.
i much preferred the witcher 2 on the 360 controller and i expect to have the same feeling with skyrim
Mouse and keyboard for life but this is one of the few games I may try with a controller. The left side/left hand, right side/right hand setup + force feedback made Bioshock a lot of fun to play on a controller and inspired Bethesda to incorporate it into Skyrim.
Meh, call whatever you want dude. Just look at Fallout 3 and the fucking nightmare that was. Until I see otherwise, I hold it to be true that Bethesda has no fucking idea what they're doing on the console side of things.@Three0neFive said:
if it weren't for the fact that the PS3 version is probably going to be the buggiestFirst "fact", then "probably". I call bullshit on your reasoning.
Depends on how many hotkeys you're allowed. I prefer a controller, but the limitations of the controller is you're limited to a small number of quick-select abilities. Batman:AC really tested the limits of that system by tying 12 abilities to the D-Pad. Being a mage is basically pointless if you can't select at least two weapon setups and four spells on the fly. So, I expect keyboard.
No you should totally buy a racing wheel. They look so cool sitting in the corner of your living room.@jorbear said:

DO NOT BUY A RACING WHEEL!
Mouse and keyboard. Whether or not my computer will be able to run it is a different question however....
I'll try all methods available and end up with whatever I feel fits best. Recently I've been really enjoying PC games with a controller, but I think Skyrim may be a full-on desk game.
My family room television and favorite chair will be leaving on special assignment to my desk, where I'll play Skyrim on the big screen, laid back, settings maxed, with a 360 controller.
Why the hell would you buy a racing wheel, just steal one.@jorbear said:

If I get it, I'll be playing with the PS3 controller I got specifically for PC games because I knew I could set it up via bluetooth.
I wish I had gotten an xbox controller instead, though. I already have an xbox.
While I'm getting the PC version, I'll probably play with the Xbox 360 controller as it seems obvious that the UI as been designed with console controls in mind.
I will probably connect my computer to my HDTV so will sit in a way that I might not be able to use the keyboard, so shall use an Xbox 360 controller. It seems like the user interface as been designed for controllers anyway.
Well, this just seems like the obvious choice.
