I have annoying crackling sound/reverb issue, will it make solving any puzzles impossible?

My sound is completely borked on this and everytime I enter a new area where something is going on and there are moving parts or even some of the puzzle panels themselves I get some crackling sound and some echo/reverb noticed a few other people reporting it in the steam community.

My question was are there any sound based puzzles where this might cause an issue? Hopefully someone can answer without any spoliers!

@flameboy84: Yes, there is one puzzle I have come across that is sound based.

I was having the same problem, and I found everything still manageable.

It will make certain puzzles more difficult, but not impossible. Are you trying to use 5.1 or 7.1 audio? I know there were problems with that which MIGHT have been fixed. I'd suggest to try reducing to stereo output on your sound card, or swapping the output from your sound card to your PC out if you have it. If you're just using the mobo, report the issue to The Witness team and list your mobo.

Could try changing you sound card settings to MONO. Won't sound great, but that what helped me (I had weird loud crackling sounds coming in once in a while).

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm just playing on laptop sound already set to Stereo as I saw that suggestion on steam community.
