No Ken, no Cyclops, no Gambit no thank you...If I was Capcom I would get busy on more characters to add. Kinda hard to market a game 4 months away now that you're naked.

If Phoenix Wright really will be in the roster, I am buying this. I waited with buying the vanilla version expecting something like this and boy, was I right.

Wasn't there a Vergil costume for Dante in MvC3?  Meaning all of the modeling work was already done.

I think the only reason I didn't impulse buy the first game was the lack of Phoenix Wright.

It was the best DMC game though.

Also, technically, it was 2 games since there was a "special edition" of DMC 3 with...I dunno, him in it. Maybe some other crap too.

That was Sparda's. The closest thing to a Vergil costume is blue coat Wesker.

It's also 39.99 - so you're getting a new game for cheap. Rocket Raccoon fully endorses this game.

Paid £40 day one less than 4 months ago for MVC3. And now they're adding 12 new characters + all the originals with spectator mode (NO EXCUSES THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE ORIGINAL) and new stages and balances changes. 
 
I cant even sell MVC3 now to mitigate the cost as its pretty much worthless. 
 
This kinda irks me. I would have gladly gave them £15 for a lets call it Version update to MVC3. 
 
But less than 4 months later we get this? Its a hard pill to swallow.

You don't want to make it DLC, Capcom? Well fine. Fuck off. My money can be spent elsewhere.

I'm happy they put Phoenix Wright in it and will be excited to see him in-game. Still won't buy it though.

As much as I want to play as Phoenix Wright, I completely disagree with what Capcom is doing, so I will skip this title.

Considering DLC characters go for $5 a piece, charging $40 for 12 extra is a bargain. Not to mention Jill and Shuma that would be 14 characters for some. Also I'd much rather have this on disc than worry about taking to a friends house who doesn't use xbox live.

Why the HELL aren't more people excited about the goddamn Nova Prime?! I've been waiting for Richard Rider to be playable in a game for years.

Do you think there will ever be some sort of GOTY edition with all the characters included or should I just get it now and buy the characters as DLC?

@Korne: Well we're talking about the specific character model that is used in this game, which is the DMC 3 one. But you're right, he's been in more than 3.

@CyleMoore: finally someone else who sees the fighting potential in the spectacular spider-ham! then there's the dlc for a peter porker skin.

Hawkeye, Iron Fist and Nova....God dammit now I have to get this game again. This should have been offered also as DLC like with Street Fighter:AE.

If it was DLC for those who already spent $60 and $5 a character as DLC i could see this as a more enticing prospect, as is my decision to stop buying fighters still stands.

Now this is what I wanted the first game to be like, with a massive roster and far more locations and costumes. Fully support it as long as I can download it for cheap onto my already existing first game.

Yay! ANOTHER Capcom re-release of a fighting game. Good thing they canned Mega Man Legends 3 to make room for what essentially amounts to retail priced DLC, right guys?
