    The third main installment of the fast-paced arena-based first-person shooter brings its futuristic world to the Unreal Engine 3 game engine while adding a grimy aesthetic and a new story-based single-player campaign (involving a crew of mercenaries set out to avenge their fallen colony against the Necris).

    Just got UT3 @ Steam for 12 dollars.

    Yup. Now I'm just waiting for it to finish downloading. 8GB is nothing to sneeze at. Anyone else get it at Steam during the offer?

    I got it a while back on Steam. It's a shame that not many people play it online, its a pretty damn good game, there's just little in the way of support for it.. although the PC definitely has the largest population playing on it online and this Steam offer might help boost those numbers.

    There are still loads of people playing the original UT online to this day  though which is kinda neat/surprising  - although its probably due to the fact it is lightweight, easily pirated and notebook/netbook friendly.

    I guess, it's sort of an expected thing, but I haven't played much of it. Besides that shouldn't be an issue. What's expected is that you can build your own PC out of scratch, but not everyone that plays PC games does that.

    You're not a real gamer if you play any Unreal game after UT99.

    That's quite the statement...especially since UT2k4 was such a great game
