Beyond Good & Evil Goes High-Def

I have the original  version on PS2 that I picked up awhile ago cheap, never got around to playing it though.
 
I guess maybe I'll just get this HD version up and play that instead?

I've heard nothing but good things, so I'm definitely getting this when it hits.

Might actually get this for XBLA , played the original and liked it so this would be a good way to replay it in HD.

I missed out on a black Friday deal several years ago when Circuit City was selling the Gamecube version of this game for $10. Been kicking myself everytime I hear someone mention this game since. I suppose this is my chance to plat the game.

Can't wait to finally finish this game. Anybody curious about the PC version: DON'T BE. It's a terrible port with a bunch of unfixable pre-widescreen issues and tons of bugs on top of it. The console "HD" re-release is the definitive version... at least until it comes out on PC.

Looks pretty much the same as the pc version of the game from years ago...

I said this during the Happy Hour, but I cannot say it often enough: we need more more French games.

This was one of my favorite games on Gamecube, definitely going to pick this up when I have the time. 

I played this thing on the PC back in the day, it could only have been more awesome if it had controller support. I'll gladly play this again on XBLA!

Been wanting to pick this up on Steam for ages, but I keep waiting for a good sale. Just never seems to happen.

One of the best games I've ever played. Picking this up day 1, full price, which will be one of the only times I've bought a XBLA game that wasn't on sale in years.

I bought this on Steam having heard that it was a great game, downloaded and installed it and felt like I'd wasted my cash once I'd tryed it out, I think I missed the boat on this one. Have fun though guys!

Man, this is gonna be the THIRD time I've bought this title. Once for the OG Xbox when the rumors of it being discontinued came out. Then again last year on GOG.com (and on PC it's already running at high-res. AND I play it with a dual shock 3!). But now, since I know for sure that Ubisoft is going to use this to gauge interest in a sequel by how well this sells, I'm gonna have to buy it AGAIN. Just to support the cause. 
I mean, it's fantastic. I just really wanna see something new by now. I'd rather hear of a 3DS port; at least then, the stereoscopic 3D would be something fresh.
If you never played it, than you're an idiot, because the game is amazing. So you best not pass it up now. AGAIN.

This is what I've been waiting for! finally!

One of my all-time favorite games.  I will buy this provided Ubisoft isn't mad in the head and charges full price for it.  Between $30 and $40, though and I'll definitely pick it up. 

Going to plug in my PS2 tonight to replay this classic!

ive only played a demo of the original, but ill pick up the title just to help them build sales to prove that the development of the sequel is worthwhile to the gaming community.

I played a couple of hours into this game on the PS2 and thought it was amazing. I can't wait for this. At $10, you'd be a fool not to purchase it.

This game is beyond classic now. Such a gem. I really wish Ubisoft makes a sequel, but it doesn't look like it :(

Beyond Good and Evil is a pretty good game.
It's not a masterpiece, by any stretch. It's a pretty good Zelda clone with some bad stealth elements and simplistic combat. The puzzles aren't that interesting, the story hits very obvious beats throughout, and the game is way short.  
But it's colorful and the cast of characters are pretty good. It's pretty fun.
It's no Rayman 2: The Great Escape.

That was so short and the scenes cut so fast that it showed me basically nothing at all.

Anyone who thinks this is just a port of the PC version is out of their mind. They have done a lot of work on the textures with this one, it looks great. The PC version looks kind of ass these days.

Man, this video doesn't look a molecule better than the original game. Hell, the PC version ran in HD as it is! 
 
Such an amazing game. Hated the cliffhanger ending. Really hope this one means we're getting s'mores.

we NEED a sequel, folks.
 
also, maybe it's just been a while since I've played it, but this doesn't look very HD... did they just up the resolution and the textures? I'd want to at least see an updated lighting engine, and possibly higher-res models.

Never got around to play this one even though i actually own the PS2 version of the game. Have been meaning to play the game sometime, maybe now is the time :)
