@gildermershina: the mass effect relays were relegated to the milky way i thought. So they would have to travel the slow way, i'd be worried more about stumbling on where the reapers all came from than how long the trip would take.

@fram:It's from the track "Vigil" that's found on in the first Mass Effect soundtrack. Normally it's pretty short but there's an extended version on youtube. Seriously one of the best sci-fi tracks out there period in my eyes ears.

I've been told by someone more eagle-eyed than I that the dog tag on the left side of the screen 48 seconds in says "RYDER" on it. Commander Ryder our new protag, perhaps?

I am now wondering if Andromeda is the story of a final contingency to the Reaper threat. In case all else failed (and the track record of success for the Reapers is pretty good), civilization of some sort would continue in another galaxy separate from the 50,000 year cycle. Sounds like Shep knew about it and was there to give a final goodbye anyways.

Yeah, that's kind of what I mean, though I think the way things change, especially with how you go back to the citadel throughout the three, would make that a bit hard. Just making them all play and look the same would be good enough for me, even if I had to quit out of one game and into another.

@ntm: do you mean the gameplay? I wish they didnt change it so much in every installment.

Maaaaaaan that last synth note is just a little stinger that makes me sad the series went in a different tonal direction from the first Mass Effect game.

@nggamer: I mean, take the best aspects from each game, and then make them the same in each, yes, that's what I mean. I want to play all three as if they look and play the same. That said, I wouldn't really care if they didn't want to take that extra time and put the work in. As long as it was 1080p/60fps on current-gen consoles, and all DLC, then that'd be nice. That said, while I am okay with the first Mass Effect's shooting gameplay, I think two, and even more so in three just made that aspect of it way better, so if they all played the same, it'd make all play as well in that respect for example, and that'd be cool to me. Plus, if they made the change to have them seamless, having them play and look differently wouldn't really work.

I wish nobody would pre-order this game just to remind Bioware that what they pulled with 3 was fucking disgusting.

The female voice over just comes off as pandering to recent controversy in my opinion. I rolled my eyes.

I'd like to talk about the game but what do I know?

Mass Effect is my fav series of all time I just hope they don't fook it up. If this turns out like Dragon age (which I love) just playing dot to dot with icons on a map I'll be pissed off.

They should think about releasing the game and then expanding on it with space expansions and stuff....

Why is this trailer just the ending of MGS1 with the Citadel added on the side?

I love that they used the female Shepherd - don't make a big fuss of it, just choose the non-traditional-dude option and let it speak for itself. I played through ME1 as male, and as a result used the same voice into 2 and 3, but Jennifer Hale's performance is so much more distinctive. Really want that remastered trilogy release for PS4 so I can do it all again as her.

And, yeah, that final synth note. Damn, I love Mass Effect. More brooding electronica for Andromeda, please, less blockbuster orchestra.

I'm gonna miss you Commander Shepard, so glad they used Jennifer Hale's voice for this trailer, she was so much better than the dude voice, plus I played as her so that's a plus. The trailer gave me some chills, can't wait to see the actual game though

I too was disappointed with the ending of ME3, but overall this is still one of my favourite series of all time. I really want this and I'm really curious what this actually will be. Also: Jennifer Hale is the best.

Meh, until I see concrete facts about this game I'm not getting excited. ME3 was kinda disappointing for me, so I'll keep watch, but not get hyped.

Maybe in this new galaxy we'll get a CYMK choice at the ending.

I'm glad they used Hale for the trailer. It seems like they're actually behind their "no canon Shepard" philosophy now.

I was really surprised it was Fem-Shep, the only true Shepard as far as I am concerned. Good on Bioware for embracing the other choice.

I enjoy this as a video regardless of how good it is as a video game trailer.

lol, ah i remember that show. It would be awesome if they got Kevin Sorbo to do a voice for someone... or had someone try to recap the plot for that show, cause, yeah... no idea where it went...
