As if that's the case, I retract what I said. If the intent is to use this feature to rotate games, and spin off any they end up wanting to complete/really liking into playdates? That I think is a fantastic idea.

Hey y'all!

We'll live streaming again this Wednesday, and while we'll most likely be finishing up Episode 2 of Life is Strange and maybe get into some of Episode 3 after that we've been thinking of making the show a 1-shot for games. I originally envisioned it as a place to try out a bunch of stuff we're either missing out on or haven't had time to check out but getting locked into one game defeats that purpose.

We may continue Life is Strange in a Playdate. That is a premium piece of content, so I don't want folks to feel like it's a bait-and-switch. Let me know what you guys think below, but that's the direction we're leaning right now. I like the idea of constantly testing games out in one feature, and if folks and we are interested in pursuing them further, do it in another feature for us and those people and leave the testing ground for people to recommend new games.

Really funny trip back to this 1996 classic. I took a look at howlongtobeat, and it should only be one or two more sessions like this one, even shorter in length than the first game. At the end Vinny sort of said that this would be the only time they played this (with Jeff saying that he'd watch the rest on youtube), but if there is any way for them to play more of this I'd love it.

I hope Blues and Bullets gets on the ballot for next week. That was a great Quick Look. I forgot all about it until I saw it on my Steam front page today.

Living in Korea it is difficult for me to catch a live stream. Decided to stay up late to catch what would very likely be the next installment of their Life is Strange playthrough. Instead Phantasmagoria was played and I fell asleep within 15 minutes. Oh well. Just wish there were a bit of a heads up on what was going to be played before staying up for this.

Alex saying "Rock hard sexual tension!" when she put her arms between the dudes legs instantly made this my favorite Giant Bomb video in recent memory.

Oh man, that's classic. I recently installed it because I wanted to play it before I watched the "Random PC Game" episodes. Now I've got extra incentive to do so.

you really need to finish this. this game goes places and its honestly amazing. like for real an underrated gem

An insubstantial subjective analysis expressed as matter of fact about a video game on the internet? Blasphemous! I disagree completely, and in fact would prefer they complete the whole thing so we can see the team's take on how everything wrapped up. I bet they wouldn't find it as disappointing as the fans who set their expectations too high.

now THIS, is giving me some serious Random PC Game feels, and it's only compounded by the fact that I used to get Alex and Dave mixed up early in my Giant Bomb watching career.

Please play more life is strange! I know people wanted to see something diffrent and that's cool. Life is strange is just so good though. Was my favorite feature on Giant Bomb in ages!

@galacticpunt: The hardware they're using for streaming has been failing for the last two weeks Jeff said yesterday. It appears to be causing issues for both East and West coast teams. They're trying to find a fix or, worst case, find an entirely new solution to how they stream their premium and live content.

If there's supposed to be community voting on this stuff, why don't they include a link in the notes for each week to make it easier to find where the voting is at? All of the GB guys seem to forget to use the notes section these days for important relevant info.

Is the HD download working or should I just grab the High quality version for the time being for the long GBEast videos.

Nah, Life is Strange will take them 4 more streams. It's quite long for an adventure game, but not really a long game per se.

I'd like to see 'em playing a strategy game or two when resident strategy maven Austin is back.

WOW! I really, really wanted this as a kid after seeing a trailer for it bundled in some Quake map pack called QZone. When I finally got it for Xmas, there was definitely a tinge of disappointment cognitive dissonance as I came to the slow realization that it was front loaded as a cubicle simulator. I had an idea of what I was getting into knowing that FMV is a slightly busted if not hilarious genre, but my undying love of horror kept me playing. I beat it legit, saw all the endings and I ended up enjoying it pretty decently all things considered. Cool to see it here.

I always thought it was a crime that Vinny never got around to Phantasmagoria 2, but it hits me now that the universe was simply waiting for the GBEast Dream Team to form and give this beautiful, terrible sucker the razzing it deserves.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I'd say that poster is in the minority as most people out there seem to like the ending a lot. Some people don't like it for generally one of two reasons, but discussing it would get into spoilers. The closest thing I can point you toward as far as someone from the GB crew having an opinion on the finale is Patrick, who loved the ending.

It's something you're going to have to play for yourself and draw your own opinion on in the end unless you just want the whole thing spoiled.

@crashtanuki: they didn't as it will be its own feature. And playing the same game repeatedly despite the popular vote goes against the idea of this series. But this has already been run into the ground, so...

I believe LiS should be finished up, unless there are say, problems. But random Pc (or hey console) game makes me happy. I may not like any particular game, but it's not determined by somebody else's taste. There were a lot of choices on that pie chart to choose from.

Having said that, I took to Life is strange, the commentary helped me a lot. And yes, I got into the story.

Okay, Alex's repeated mentions of "flesh" and Jeff's insistence on calling the door a "portal" were amazing. We need to have a complete playthrough with all three of these guys.

This was really good! I was skeptical but P2 seems like an even crazier game than the first.

Why does Vinny have to explain to someone every single stream that suggestions about picking up the purse are a joke? I laugh so hard every time it happens.

Thank god they switched away from life is strange. I only wish Dave could be there for this :(
