I am genuinely happy to see an Amiibo functionality that actually does what you would expect it to doe, ie: give you that character in the game.

I don't know about this game but that version of the Fire Emblem main theme in the trailer is pretty rad.

Man the graphics for this game always look terrible in trailer form. I hope the 3ds screen makes this game look better.

They acknowledged the Marth shortages and mentioned in the NOA Direct that they will be shipping out more Marth amiibo later this year (presumably around the game's release).

I'm not a huge fan of the character models, but maybe it will look better on the actual 3DS, and not blown up.

I was going to say the same thing. Here's hoping for functionality using the Little Mac amiibo.

I really hope this game turns out to be amazing. I've been craving a game similar to Xcom Enemy Unknown and this seems like a mix between that and Valkyria Chronicles. So it could be pretty great. But I'm not going to get super hyped about it because that has almost always ended with disappointment in recent years.

Well at least the FE series is getting plenty of chances to crossover, couldn't think of any other series it should cross with...

Looks interesting. I'd suppose it would be too much to hope that Abe Lincoln called in extradimensional help in the story to justify their inclusion into this game, but I'm fine with this.

This.... kind of makes me less likely to buy Codename STEAM. Like, maybe on the sequel or 3rd game you do this cheap nonsense, but on the first game? Really?

@fattylobotnik: I think we can safely conclude Advance Wars is dead. It hurts to say that, but afaik that series' sales were terrible in Japan (it is much more popular in the west, which is odd really for a series that was Japan-only for a long time but I guess Japan seems to massively prefer SRPGs to straight tactics/strategy games). A pity as it is IS' best series.

This game just looks crummy to me. Seems like really heavily simplified XCOM meets Valkyria Chronicles but with really ugly graphics, annoying talky characters and a lame 'theme'. Fuck steampunk.

I've always liked the cross-over stuff Nintendo does. Nice to see more of it on it's way thanks to amiibos.

I want to see Steampunk Samus. :(
