E3 2017: Fortnite Is a Real Video Game

I hope it's at least alright; a six year wait for a bad game isn't a good look.

I played the beta for a while. It's fine, but not worth the wait at all. It's just okay.

Has anyone seen the prices for this on PSN (UK) Store? - someone is trying to claw back 7 years worth of development costs. Holy Hell.

I like the look of the constructor, other wise this dosn't look like it was worth the wait

I totally don't get the loop of this game.

They said there's like exploration, and clearly you go out and harvest material to make a fort in some kind of overworld I guess. Are there set locations to build forts? Is this persistent or all instance based? Is it wave-based and you can clear it like you clear a level?

Also man the whole concept of this game with the clear minecraft inspirations just feel a bit dated to me.

The almost 90 minute gameplay video that came out yesterday was badass looking imo. I mean, it has issues obviously, and its still janky looking in spots - not to mention we still don't really know what the game really is yet? Which is weird.

The run animation looks odd to me. Like they're taking way too small steps or something...

Seems like an interesting game, though of course its a mashup of orcs must die, sunset overdrive, minecraft and a class based fps. Most titles are combinations of other games mechanics anyway so its difficult to really judge it until we know how well implemented they are.

Are we really sure this is real?
