Oh FUCK Shoji Kawamori did the mech designs? I am ALL IN.

Also, until the logos at the end I legit thought this was gonna be a Platinum game from the style and music.

I looked up who the two directors were for this game (Ken Awata & Ken Karube) and they were the director and chief designer for Monster Hunter Stories, another game made by Marvelous that has amazing cel-shaded visuals. The visuals also remind me a lot of Capcom's EX Troopers, which I believe shared some staff with Monster Hunter Stories as well.
