The only cool thing about this is the dude with the jetpack, looks all buggy with the wings. 

EDF2 Portable is coming to Japan very soon. I hope it gets brought over here, as well.

Man, these guys just don't seem to get it.  I'm hoping they soon release video of a MASSIVE swarm of enemies, because that was most of the fun of the last game: Seeing an enormous swarm of enemies on the horizon rushing towards you.

The game looks fantastic. Giving it to a genuine western developer was a great idea, since most Japanese studios (Vanquish developer Platinum being the exception) can't make a non-janky third person shooter. Vicious Cycle is a solid developer who can make fun games, but not world class by any means, so they're a great fit for EDF. Looking forward to this.
But man, this music SUCKS. I super hope that this is just for promotional purposes and the actual game does NOT sound like this. I game on PS3; I can't just "custom soundtrack" my way out of this crap....
Although SquirrelGod is right; this could use some more enemy variety, bigger swarms and larger enemies period (although ONE part of this trailer showed huge, spindly legs in the sky. What the fuck do those belong to?)

When it says over 300 weapons, I come to wonder how much can they really differ from each other?

Hellz yeah. The original EDF was fun, but started to show its limits after awhile. This looks like a HUGE improvement. Online coop is awesome.

Played the hell out of the original in split screen coop with my son, with online coop, I'll be playing this game forever.

I want to see MORE bad action movies as video games! MORE!

There's still going to be local split-screen yes?

I remember the ps2 game from this franchise... thought it was fug-ugly terrible.

Looks better than the first one, but it's too "Godzilla" for me. Pass.
