This is, without a doubt, my most anticipated release of this year.

Anyone else becoming more turned off by the faces every time you see it?

This looks like the game Heavy Rain was supposed to be.

OMG! The faces are simply amazing.

Game looks cool... But how does it play?  Is it an adventure game or do you shot 30 thugs in between each interrogation?

Oh man, I can't wait for this.  I just hope they don't try to shoehorn action in out of nowhere to try to keep the A.D.D. kids happy.  
 
Going for a film noir vibe? Go all out. Don't try to fit "Rambo" into "Chinatown" or "LA Confidential".  
 
In other words, don't be a Mass Effect film noire - Go to crime scene, talk to a couple people, fight a bunch of guys, cover-based-shooter style. Go back to police station. Go somewhere else, fight more guys. Not going to work.

I need to know more about how this game plays! I've been dying for a game where you're the cop! This seems like it could be the game I've been waiting for!

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this game.

I don't care what anybody says... those faces look creepy as fuck. 

My heart starts pounding everytime I see new stuff from this game. This is most definitely my most anticipated game for 2011 and I can't believe that there finally is a release date. God damned I could cry... Would like to see a really cool collectors edition just to top it all of.

It's so bizarre that now that facial animation looks good, the rest of the body animation in contrast looks wooden and stilted. How did this happen?

I mean sure, It's going to be great, we can assume that much. I just don't understand how they can put that much work into great voices and a detailed environment, and put out totally mediocre body animations.

I keep forgetting this game exists. I don't know, it looks good, but Rockstar lost a lot of trust with me with Grand Theft Auto IV, and they only regained a little of it with Red Dead Redemption.

You know, everyone keeps talking about how great the facial animation is, but I can't help but notice how detailed the faces aren't. Sure, they may be animating well, but they look terrible. 

I'm surprised at the level of emoting from the character faces; it looks great.  And as cinematic as it is, it kinda reminds me of movies with graphical treatments like A Scanner Darkly.

This is looking better the more I see of it, if the gameplay is skewed more towards crime scene investigation and an interigation / socialization mechanic it could be utterly amazing.

This could be big.  Having the facial animation work that good with a notable actor like that guy from Mad Men.  This could be the first in a long line of games with real actors... really acting. This could get really weird when you shift from drama and action to comedy and bizzarre.   I think this game will be a milestone in that time line.

And people worried with rockstar, rockstar are only PUBLISHING this game, Team Bondi are the ones developing it. 

This might just have passed The Witcher 2 as my most anticipated game of 2011. 

The acting sounds... odd, somehow. It doesn't sound like voice work at all. More like audio taken from a full-blown live action performance.

The problem is that only the faces are animated so well. This creates a strong contrast between head and body. In some of the gameplay footage I have seen, the heads looked strangely disconnected from their bodies. Like a part that just doesn't fit quite well. Some odd jank going on around the neck area of each character.
