Despite the terrible trailer, I am still holding out hope for this game. I can see it being really, really, really good. Then again it's from Sega so I can see it being really, really, really bad too, but I want it to be good.

I've heard this game is quite deep.  I'll wait for reviews but I plan on picking this up myself.

I think that the gate refers to a vag but I might be reading into the story a little too much.

This looks horrible.

The actual gameplay here looks pretty awesome, the idea of customising your own ship and roaming space really appeal to me, and looks like a lot of fun.
 
But the story and dialogue are just embarrasing, especially when compared to Mass Effect.  Which was genuinely interesting and thought provoking.  This is just..  ugh..  I couldn't even finish watching the trailer.

What if Darkstar 1 was made by the Japanese and not the Germans.

I really like the vibe of this game. And of course, it's Platinum.
