@sooty: Apart from the fact that it's completely different to MK9.

It is and it also isn't, it has Netherrealm's (signature?) kind of goofy animation.

I'm in for this on PC, but not immediately. I hope the game manages to hold a player base, because I think it's genuinely good.

It's just a little difficult to justify a full price day one purchase of the gold edition of a game I already own on another platform.

Yeah, pretty much all games have this happen. I don't see the big deal.

It's an awesome game, and for the people that skipped it and are getting the PS4 this is a hell of a day 1 game.

Got excited when I heard they were offering a $10 upgrade.

Then very sad when they said only if you're upgrading from this new version.

If by stroke of luck my fight stick actually works on ps4 day 1, I might reconsider this still.

Sadly no news on that yet, NRS isn't commenting so I assume that means they don't even support their own Battle Edition stick despite what Sony says about developers able to support USB sticks if they choose to.

@mccarron: Bummer. I can give them a little bit of slack, since I like NRS and this was sort of last minute after WD delay. I just have a custom stick so, fingers crossed, hopefully it will work.

Would love to hear the inside baseball story as to why this isn't coming to Xbox One...

Well, missed this earlier. Not getting a next-gen system yet so might as well get the PC version

Well, I imagine the Wii U version of the original didn't do well. I have the Wii U version of the original, and it didn't deserve to do well. The game performed well enough, don't get me wrong, but online was atrocious even by Wii U standards and post-release support was poor.

The lack of Xbox One, however, has me wondering if perhaps there's some development hurdle there. I can't imagine Sony paying for next-gen exclusivity for this of all games...

why is this so much cooler then movie iteration of Superman? Superman is evil, but yet it's so much cooler. The whole battle armor batman looks better then christian bale. Netherelm has that magic touch that makes feeling like a 12 year old forever.

And presumably Microsoft either didn't cut the same deal, or the deal from Sony was that it wasn't allowed to come out for Xbox One or something. Good to hear...I tried the demo on 360 and it was fun but I knew if I waited I would be able to get the PC version. Figured it would include some dlc...Seems like I guessed correct. Got waiting for me at home.
