Hmm...  I would have preferred a more original outing for the next big Mario game, but it looks like they added enough new elements to keep it from feeling like a rehash.

As much as I hated Mario Galaxy I gotta admit this looks freaking beautiful and it's hard not to be excited about this. Dude Yoshiiiiiiiii!

Ok I thought the first one looked fantastic, and it was actually a game that I was considering getting a Wii for, but this one looks leaps and bounds better than that one. I definitely want this game, so I definitely want a Wii now.

Meh.  It's good to see Yoshi, but it's hard to get excited.  SMG is less than two years old.  I'm hardly chomping at the bit for a new one yet.

Gameplay still looks great, but I think the trailer lacks a bit.. polish? It looks to have just enough content to not just be called an expansion pack.

Ugh, the first galaxy was easily the weakest of the 3d marios and now this? This simply looks like an expansion pack for the first game that is a lame cash-in. More platforming on tiny planets that would be more fun with the gamecube controller. WEAK.

all this needs is the koopa kids.... please do it!

I don't care what people say. Mario Galaxy is what Mario 64 was for the N64. There's so much potential left untapped that I think they can get away with just this one direct sequel. Also, using the same engine and even some of the same assets means this thing can be pumped out quickly.

As much as I adored Mario Galaxy, I don't have my hopes up for this. :| This looks awful.

In my opinion, Mario Galaxy is pretty fantastic. Kind of easy due to the fact that mushrooms are in all kind of places, but it has to be one of the greatest platform games I've played in a while at the least. It's a little disappointing that Mario appears to have more of the same power-ups and that he's going through similar space obstacles and what-not, but I think if I just have more levels, than that's fine with me (I think). It's probably all I need if I want to play more Super Mario Galaxy, which I totally do. Still, hope there's more than just Yoshi, drill-thingy, and shadow craziness. Am I asking for too much? Maybe.

I don't get how some people are trolling this game. I mean it's fucking MG2, the sequel to one of the best games this generation. How can it be bad?
Miyamoto said that he felt that he was too conservative with Mario Galaxy, so i reckon this will have a LOT of new crazy stuff in it. Just look at the trailer. It has tons of new stuff already. And it's ONLY TWO MINUTES LONG!
