Randy remains one of the best PR guys, even though that's not his job title, no one else can talk so passionatly about their games.

I loved Randy long before borderlands, when he was doing demos with Col. Antal for Brothers in Arms RTH30.

It's super effective.

It's great that he has such enthusiasm for his team's work, as you can see in this interview, and in other interviews before Borderlands came out.

As many said ... Randy is one of the guys that can talk about their games and actually get me excited. You can see that he loves what he is doing and even if not everything turns out perfect there still is more soul in every game he is involved in than in 20 Modern Warfares. 
 
Gearbox is close to the status Valve and Relic have for me where I would blindly buy everything they put out just to support them and because I know I will get a game I like.

i want a special edition of DNF with a cool ass case with a documentary on the making of the game and what took them so damn long, soundtrack, bigass poster, and maybe a little statue of the duke nukem icon, or maybe even a duke action figure.

My mind cannot process this.

This is like a fairy tale. It makes me totally giddy and excited for some reason.
 
Someone of the inner circle needs to write a book about this.

This is the first interview I've seen with Randy Pitchford and it's definitely inspiring. It's great to see a developer seem to passionate and excited about his game and to constantly be praising the people who make it happen.
 
Would like to see some kind of History of Duke in a special edition as many have said, even if it's just a quick 30 minute documentary, this is one of the few games that I think a lot of people would be interested in knowing the history of.

and we will look at this vid 13 years later and be like yea they said in 2011, and look it's 2023 and still no duke after going through 15 different engines from 3D to 5D, changing it to a MMOFPS and nothing.

O come on it wont come out HES LIEING!

I trust Randy 100%. I would trust him with my life, he seems like a stand up guy. 

I'm actually starting to get enthusiastic about this again. I was at the place Jeff was a few weeks back, when he was totally not giving a fuck about this game. Seems the King has a way of swaying people. 
 
I'll say this, though. This better be fucking great.

I continue to not care about Duke Nukem, but man can that guy talk. who knows, it might even be good.

Mr. Pitchford really is one of the best out there.

If this game actually comes out in 2011 and I have payed money for it and played the game from start to finish and then I see some credits a few hours later and then I sit there and contemplate what I have just done.... 
If I actually play and finish Duke Nukem Forever 
Then Randy Pitchford is the new god of the gaming industry for finally bringing us this game.  
 
Good or bad, there is plenty of history. (hopefully good)
