I have high hopes for this interview after the conversation that he essentially started during the E3 podcasts.

The guy is on fire. Great to see him be so passionate about his game.

Man this guy is a gatling gun of words, but in a good way. This game is shaping up to look great. :)

I love how goddamn passionate Jaffe is about his game, it actually makes me a lot more excited and interested in it.

The last Twisted Metal game I played was Black, and I remember enjoying it, but maybe that was just because of how awesomely bleak each character's story was in the single-player mode.

I'll definitely check it out when it is released next year. Honestly, I don't really have anything better to do on Valentine's Day :P

Agreed. His enthusiasm just rubs off on me every time I see an interview. I, sadly, also have nothing to do on Valentine's Day lol so that means more time to play! Yay! Wait...aw man

Jaffe is SUCH a great interview. Game actually looks quite entertaining as well.

Looks like they are putting a lot of time, thought and heart into this game. I hope the resulting game comes out well.

I love Jaffe, he always has such passion about when he speaks and is always interesting to listen to.  I just watched his whole keynote yesterday and he's definitely one of my more favorite guys in the industry.

I love Jaffe. He's so passionate and honest compared to any other developer.

I've never liked the overall themes of Twisted Metal. I don't like violence for violence's sake; without any meaningful context for me. Twisted Metal's tone have always struck me as a dramatic, lame, angry adolescent scribbling nasty doodles on his binder.

On the flip-side, what's most important about a game is the way it plays. Not to say I can't enjoy a game if it's not of the highest caliber gameplay-wise (Enslaved, Heavy Rain), but if the gameplay is top-notch then that speaks better about the product than anything else ever could.

And damn does Jaffe and those guys seem to know gameplay. So much variety in modes, in cars, in abilities, in scoring, so much balancing work to think about. Fuck, as soon as I saw that Axel car jumping into buildings, I was in. What a cool, smart little thing to give your game some play diversity.

Want to drive fast? Sports car. Want to be super-strong? Bus. Want to jump? Wheel-dude. Want to fly? Fine, fucking helicopter. And all the crazy weapons and little twists that go along with it.

I may or may not get this game, but I do hope Jaffe does well with this title, because I rarely see a developer talk so much passion for a title.

Twisted Metal is my most anticipated game of 2012. I want this so bad.

Wow, this game looks so much better than I initially thought. When they were first showing it, it seemed like they took all the original unique characters out and replaced them with 2 teams of generic characters based on old ones. Now that I see it actually is bringing back all the cool unique cars and characters, it has me alot more excited. I used to absolutely love car combat games: Cel Damage, Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8, even the star wars one. I'm now a happy person.

Ryan must love interviewing Jaffe because he can just let him talk and talk and not really ask anything, because Jaffe will tell him everything he wants to know

So glad I have a PS3 the exclusives this year are awesome.

Jaffe is really great at talking the "fuck what was I saying" talk but I'm still unsure if the game is going to be able to walk the walk.  I have such fond memories of the original games so I really hope it is great!

Reminds me of Quentin Tarantino. Both talk nonstop and get tripped up over their words, go on tangents, seem crazy, and I can't help but watch every interview.

Seriously, Jaffe and the team are so passionate and put to so much hard work into this game, I want an option to pay them more money for it. He truly cares about offering the best/most content possible for day one. Notice he didn't say "we are working on DLC that should be in the game but were are taking out". This man knows what's up. Maybe one day he'll make a game for EA or Activision and wise them the fuck up, though I hope he sticks with Sony even after their contract is up.

half way through.... FEAR GAUNTLET 

Jaffe is such a lovable spazz.  Unfortunately, I was more transfixed on that game of Pixel Junk SideScroller behind him.

Love hearing Jaffe talk, makes me wish I had gone to the keynote instead. Such a great guy to just sit back and listen to for an inordinate amount of time.

I love David Jaffe, but this game... it doesn't look so great.

It's funny, he talks about how he wishes his game was getting the same excitement as Uncharted 3, but I'm personally way more excited for Twisted Metal. I loves me some Uncharted, but I was crazy in love with Twisted Metal Black and haven't had a taste in way too many years.

Jaffe is nuts, but in a way that makes think he's super passionate about his games.  I really want to play Twisted Metal!
