Randy Pitchford on Borderlands

I'm loving this new Borderlands info. Game still looks fucking awesome.

I just realized that this game is going to be everything that i wanted from the combat in fallout 3 and didn't get. (I'm not saying I didn't like fallout...just the combat part.)

Looks cool but the gun combat seems pretty mediocre. But then again it being advertised as an rpg type game.

Oh man, the enthusiasm from both Randy and Jeff are great.  It just makes you even more excited to get the game!  Which I am!

Holy shit, the arena part (al la quake) sounds amazing. I went from about 10 mph of excitement to 100 after watching this video.

I see so much potential in Gearbox, but everytime I get psyched for any of their games, I end up being dissappointed in the end. Hope this ain't the case with Borderlands.

I didn't like DIEablo much, but this looks awesome. Can't wait to play this with some friends.

I remember this being a cover story in Game Informer a couple years back and completely dismissing the game. This past year though, the game has risen to be one of my most anticipated of '09. I love the idea of blending FPS and RPG. The Gear Builder System is very appealing. The looting sounds like they've got it right. I hope this game turns out to be a better homage to Diablo's style than Too Human did.

Wow, that looked and sounded incredible.

I keep hearing the name of this game. And seeing this gameplay footage and how the visuals look, I have to say that I'm sold.  Its crazy that they decided to go in a different direction visually so late in the game. Kudos to Gearbox, the game looks awesome.

i don't get the game now, thought i did.

if its about MMO loot i'm not  that interested though i can acknowledge that its a fun idea.
on my xbox, i don't want an MMO experience. i want a single player campaign. so not hearing about story from this guy scares me a bit. loot is all good and fine, but i need to unravel some epic story going from place to place or its going to get old.

My decision's made. Totally getting this game.

I used to pronounce DIablo "die-a-blow" as well.

Not convinced......   Yet. I have been bitten buy games that are "like diablo" before.

I really hope this turns out well. I think throwing RPG systems on top of genres I already love to play is a great idea. Hopefully the shooter part of the game actually feels good and is something that I would want to play even if it didn't have the RPG layer.

I have such high hopes for this. Jeff being enthused is just pushing it even further. Come on please be the FPS Diablo i've been waiting for :P

If the guy had actually played hundreds of hours of Diablo, he would have learned how to say the dude's name properly. Just saying.

Also: I am absolutely getting ODST, as I am not under the mistaken impression that getting it will somehow make original games scarcer. Borderlands looks totally sweet, but I'm gonna pass on it, at least for a while... because I'm getting Brutal Legend in October instead. A person can enjoy both new IPs and sequels?! What a concept!
