I was a big fan of Guerilla but Battlegrounds and Armageddon aren't really exciting me as much as I thought they would.

is this a good direction for the series? or a terrible one?

Man Volition is really tied to this Red Faction IP. I mean, Guerrilla was a good game, but I am not, nor do I really know anyone who is attached to the hip to the Red Faction universe. It's just such a weird thing to keep cropping up all the time.

This was good until they started showing gameplay.

What we really need is for someone to make Interstate 76 multiplayer. Every time i see a vehicular combat game I instantly think of i76. Bet you can't get a massive afro in this game.

Is it just me or does that gameplay look VERY familiar, say a certain XBLA game perhaps???

Is it actually played from that crappy top-down perspective? It is, isn't it. I was going to say something about n how I was disappointed to hear that it was multiplayer-focused, but now I'm just going to say that I'm surprised it's just a crappy Scrap Metal/Death Rally rip off.

So this is an isometric-view vehicle combat game, right because the trailer cut back and forth between game play (I assume) and CG stuff.  Since this is a downloadable game, I'm going to assume it isn't a third-person view combat game, although that's what I'd have preferred.  That could have filled the MechAssault craving I occasionally get.
