Nice animation in the fluid-motion-traversal of environmental structures the likes of which these eyes of mine have never before seen in real life or the dreamscape.

Just remember guys... these are the people that made Deadlight.

I see no problem in a world with more Ico ripoffs.

Wind Waker meets Ico

This looks great, I'm always up for exploratory adventure/platform games. The art style in certain spots strangely also reminds me of Tales (Vesperia specifically, not so much the other games).

But it also reminds me of the lack of info about TLG. Oh god why haven't we seen anything in so long? I shouldn't get my hopes up about getting any info at all about it at TGS, but I can't help it.

Why does everyone compare this to ICO? The only similarity I see is that both main characters have a cape. Oh and there are a few shadow enemies too.

Still though, lazy comparison and hardly an "obvious ripoff". It feels more like Journey to me than anything else.

This looks nothing like Ico. If anything, it looks like Journey with slightly better graphics.

I'd play it.

Keep your face shooters, it's games like this that convinced me to get a PS4.

When I saw this at the press conference, I was immediately in for another Ico-esque experience.

Little boy traversing a castle island wearing a cape, wielding a stick that he can light on fire, fighting shadowy monsters and all from an isometric perspective certainly sounds familiar to me. I'll give you that it's aesthetic is similar to Journey, but this is very reminiscent of Ico. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that either.

Heck, the font's are even similar!

I don't really get the Ico "rip off" reaction. It's a third person adventure game, with focus on the environments. Which isn't exclusive to Ico. This game reminds me of Journey and SotC than ico. When I think Ico, I think of the girl-boy relationship, and the well designed but tight environments. This game has none of the relationship stuff (Or at least they haven't showed any), and the environments are much more varied and bigger. (Again only based on the trailer)

So beside the shadow monsters, and genre tropes of a 3rd person adventure game, I don't really get the comparison.

Lastly. I really think this "rip of" mentality is ruining games, or at least discussion about games. In other art forms, people might have said "Ico Inspired". But talking about games, it's a "rip of". Something bad, something others have done better.

@willy105: Was with you up until the graphics part. I don't even really understand what you mean. I don't see how Journey could have looked better in any way. Maybe better frame rate? So much of that game was it's art. So I guess maybe you didn't like the art?

Man, that really does have an ICO vibe to it. And what about that blue stripe fade into the PS4. I'm guessing that'll be the PS4 commercial hook and I like it.

Looks great, but every time I hear about this I'll have to spend 14 minutes with Maiden.

Looks pretty derivative. Normally, I'd scoff at that, but this looks amazing. I don't think anything else has made me want a PS4 this much.
