Anyways, watched the video and the characters look nice and I like the clean looking futuristic environment in the placeholder image, but the rest of the game looked pretty meh.

Also, it feels like BLACK all over again. Get a studio that makes racing games to make a first person shooter. Hopefully it doesn't up like BLACK.

@blacklab: Definitely right. I'd much rather see them just as their desks, why do they have to go to some decrepit building? I mean I'm all for nice looking HD video but all other other stuff really serves no purpose at all. Besides, I'd rather see the people behind the game portrayed like cool people to work with rather than staring blankly into the camera trying to invoke some kind of strange emotion out of me.

This game seems good but... what's the hook?

I think whoever's marketing this needs to take another good look at it n give us something to talk about. I mean look at the comments here, we're all just kind of optimistically apathetic.

Seems more like Brink meets MAG with less players (Then again, I don't know what the player count for this will be)... 
 
Still, I like that the AD was giving his reasons for decisions in the game. Hearing some of the development decisions from their viewpoint helps keep expectations on a realistic level.

I had to go back and listen again, because I thought I heard it wrong, but Dr. Goldtooth said I get to "kick the ass out the world".

These are the peeps that made Black, that game was incredibly fun and polished but lacked content. This game will have 12 player online as well as co op missions, so I feel like it's worthy of a rental at the very least no matter the scores it receives. That art style is gorgeous too!

And they never said they invented it and it was the most groundbreaking game in the history of groundbreaking games, at least they are trying, which is more then i can say about a lot of AAA titles that are the same game every year.

I have high hopes for this.. 
It doesn't have THAT much hype behind it so it's impossible to pull off a Brink, which is good. 
I'm just a little concerned about the longevity with the game. The length of the campaign, multiplayer, different modes, character progression etc.

It's nice to see a current gen shooter with some concept of color usage. Well, besides Bulletstorm, anyway. This is still just a huge question mark though; I'm paying attention to it because it was, at one point, called the spiritual successor to Black. But after the designer left the project, .....eh. I just don't know. 
 
It seems to be sort of a traditional, derivative, military shooter. At least, until you get to "the Target" and these alien robot dudes who have never been shown in action before, and only exist as concept art so far. Where's the destruction that's supposed to be a key feature? The next generation of the kinda sh** that happened in Black? They barely show off this game, even in this trailer. Codemasters needs to start showing this game off A LOT if we're to believe the buzz. For all we know, there could only be 3 rooms in the game with destructible walls, and they save 'em just for shots in trailers.   
 
I'm waiting for a Quick Look at this point:)
