This was a pretty good live stream. I love that Vinny/Austin roleplaying combo! The game with the armies looked pretty cool too, kind of reminded me of Black and White 2 with the giant creature fighting against humanoids.

I bought that Regicide game before I realized it was just Chess. That was a big mistake on my part!

@vinny That orc convoy mission is a downright pita and quite a difficulty bump the first time you play it. I lost it a couple times as well during the "early access". But after doing some skirmish games and coming to grips with how the game worked and was supposed to be played it was much easier.

Thanks for doing this guys. There isn't lot of coverage on the internet of these games all around, any is appropriated.

I kinda want Total War: Warhammer now... But I play from my couch and I'm afraid the text will be unreadable.

@voodoopc: It has it's own mode/twist on it, that's borrows elements of tabletop 40k and a campaign to go with it. (tho I personally entirely dislike the Regicide game play system they've developed and think it's pretty piss poor)

I think there may be enough material for a regular Warhammer series... needs a catchy name, though.

This game is really fantastic. I've owned majority of the Total War games thanks to them being in Humble Bundles but I've never actually played them . This is the first one I got into and it certainly didn't disappoint.

I have decided that a good GBeast drinking game would be to drink any time Austin repeats something Vinny or Alex just said.

I think it's funny how Vinny's reaction to the Undead Vampire Nation of "Sylvania" is not, you know, Transylvania of Brahm Stoker's lore, but the Eastern part of the United States. ;)

The red lighting gave it a cool late night radio vibe.

Lately these videos won't play for me. I get an HTTP error trying to load the video `416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable`.

I'm probably not gonna play any Warhammer games any time soon, but every time one of these videos goes up I learn something new. Like that there's fucking vampires in this universe now.

I too am having the same problem with videos not playing. Every vid on the site just stays a black screen when I hit play. Luckily the downloads seems to work, so at least I can still watch that way.

I'm amazed how much of this lore stuff I still have in my brain. My reaction to that intro video was like "shit, okay, Tzeentch, right? Yup, there's the Lord of Change. Glad it's not Khorne for a change." What an amazing waste of long-term memory.

Yeah i can't get it to work on the Giant bomb app on my Apple TV. The Raiden 5 video crapped out at 22 minutes as well.

@vinny@austin_walker I noticed something peculiar in the settings menu of Total War, your GPU is listed as a 980ti with 12GB of RAM but as far as I know 980ti's only come with 6GB. What's up with that? Just a fluke in that game? Running SLi and it counts both?

Resolution scaling is not what you think it is, less than 100% causes the game to render resolutions lower than the display resolution then blows them up to fit the screen, resulting in a very blurry image.
A few games have options to render above the display resolution then shrink the image down maintaining a higher image quality (downsampling/supersampling), but it demands more from the gfx card so for the most part you will always want 100% selected.

I love that undead voice Vinny did around 1:20 in. Was unexpected and so silly.

I dunno, as a long-time TW and WH fan, I'm not really feeling TW:WH. It's really stripped back from previous iterations, which is great for newcomers but feels pretty shallow for anyone who's been into the series for a while. Online is also a bit of a mess as balance issues ensure that pretty much only one race (or two, if you're lucky) is playable.
