That video pretty much single handedly killed my interest in the game.

Man this engine needs an update.

Looks so ugly, but soooo good at the same time. I'm glad they've kept it at the same levels of ugly as Fallout 3, it's the best kind of ugly.

Holy crap, I hope that's not the PC version because it looks like terrible.
 
I keep forgetting how old F3 is and how mediocre it looked back then, until FNV images are released and then I'm reminded.

Wow, there are a lot of haters in here. Graphics don't matter THAT much. Lighten up people. The game looks like a lot of fun. I'm playing through Fallout 3's DLC right now and it looks dated, but I'm not losing sleep over it.

The game just looks so flat and empty. I mean it just looks like they've made a map and then just placed the models on top with no transition at all. Nothing sits right, nothing looks like it's been there for hundreds of years, it looks like they've got a 300 year old model and just placed it somewhere, it doesn't look like it's always been there. If anyone understands what I'm talking about.

tbh i didnt play fallout 3 for its graphics and this will be no different,Cannot wait for this game.

As much as I liked Fallout 3, I'm not getting this game.

I can't believe how much this really is just Fallout 3 with a couple of new guns and a sign that reads Vegas.  As much as I liked F3, I've been bummed by these kinds of "updates" before and I don't think I'll be biting this time.  I mean, in a year or two's development time they couldn't even make a different looking computer terminal?  Seems horribly lazy and not a good sign.

Some of the stuff I cant WAIT for. But the energy weapon stuff doesnt appeal to me at all.

It was either use the same engine, or get Obsidian to craft a whole new one. Don't think so.
 

I hope Obsidian do well with this. These guys deserve a break. Also, won't be focusing on graphics, but STORY. Chris Avellone, dudes. ENOUGH REASON TO BUY IT.

I enjoyed the holy-hell out of Oblivion and F3 despite the same issues, so I can't argue that poor graphics/animation/feedback kill a game if one can go into it with an open mind. But still, it comes across as super-lazy and cheap on Bethesda's part that they're still using this tired engine to pump out sequels.  Bethesda is a large company with plenty of resources, and I can't fathom how they (or anyone else) can think this plays as a $60/"AAA" title in 2010. "

People who say that graphics don't matter are kidding themselves. It may not be a deciding factor in game quality, but bad graphics are bad graphics. Personally I've already played Fallout 3, and this looks exactly like Fallout 3. So far I have no reason to be interested in this. Do we care about new guns? New gun sounds? New enemy character models?
 
It doesn't help that the recent coverage of Bioshock Infinite is amazing compared to this, as far as reimaginings go.

But I can't help that I'm very much looking forward to the day they (Bethesda) finally develop a new engine, therefor I am disappointed when I see that is not what they are doing. Maybe they're developing/revealing a new engine for Elder Scrolls V. Yay! More Fallout and more Obsidian. Could not be more excited for this.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Fallout franchise, I love the universe, I love the new direction Fallout 3 went, and I love how the original guys are going to go back to making a new game in the style Bethesda has established.
 
But the visuals are terrible. Not only by a tech standpoint, but also from an artistic one too. Everything I've seen so far of this game makes me think why people are actually getting excited over it. Not only is everything over-yellow, art design doesn't look diverse at all. Old textures and models, even if the story sounds so interesting, the world has zero appeal.

I said it before, I'll say it again - this is just a giant mod made out of recycled parts. They could have at least made a new character generator with the time they were given.  This is worth no more than a $20 digital download via Xbox Live.
