War World is a 3D mech combat game developed by Australian company Third Wave Games (made up of former Rare employees) and it was published by Lighthouse Interactive.  It was released in 2005 for the PC and  was released on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade on October 1st in 2008.

The story of the game is based on a planet known only as WarWorld within the Milky Way.  The planet has been consumed in constant conflict throughout its history over many reasons from religion to territorial disputes to blood feuds.  Eventually the largest corporations established several neutral cities on the planet with the hope of trading outside of their own galaxy.  The seven city-states in the game trade military hardware and host arena style gladiatorial battles using the mechs that they produce.  The game takes place over 100 matches with 5 difficulty levels.

The player assumes the role of one of the mech's pilots as they compete in these competitions.  Gameplay is similar to third person shooters such as Tribes including elements such as item pickups and powerups and focuses on tactics and teamwork.  There are 16 mechs within the game, each with special abilities and advantages including high damage lasers, high speed, tougher armour and more.  There are also several modes of play in the game including Daethmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag and Bomb Assault.
